    Mike Davis not tendered

He's not worth the tender. He flashed some ability except for a huge one - DURABILITY. He's not getting 1.9 M on the open market IMO.

    Interesting take on Pete Carroll.....

Logic and father time says the defense will continue regressing as the core gets older. Offensively, they either need to change personnel to match what they want to do or adapt accordingly to the skill sets they have today.

    Interesting take on Pete Carroll.....

It's more of bad personnel or coaching than it is commitment as they have tried to address OL with tons of draft capital. That said, I do think I'd be much more tempted to go with a different line than what they are doing: LT - Joeckel LG - Odihambo C - Britt RG - Pocic RT - Ifedi

Do people know the Seahawks record in their last 16 games?

At some point, the ability to turn it on becomes harder and harder and the other teams are hungrier. Fair or not, it sure seemed like the Titans wanted that game more than the Seahawks did.

    Interesting take on Pete Carroll.....

Pete's philosophy is fine and proven to work. The principles - dominant, physical running game, explosive and efficient passing game, and a great defense - work in any era and in any weather conditions (i.e. January). That said, he and JS have somehow strayed from that in a variety of ways...

Do people know the Seahawks record in their last 16 games?

Too many of the core players are on 2nd and 3rd contracts IMO and getting on the downside of their peak playing years. I am sure they want to win and all but it's not the end all be all it seemed to be in their peak performance years of 2012-2014 and even 2014 was rocky and full of luck (GB...

Do people know the Seahawks record in their last 16 games?

Seymour - I just started from the last game (Tenn loss) and went back 16 games. Then the next 16 and so on. The irony is that their 16 game views mirrored their season records in large part). There are absolutely mitigating circumstances to some of the games as always but it was somewhat eye...

Poll: How are you feeling after Tennessee loss?

A team that cannot run it effectively nor have a resemblance to average pass blocking while at the same time giving up explosive running plays to the opponent just simply isn't a legitimate championship team. Maybe it gets better but this sure seems like 2015/2016 with teams that were flawed...

Do people know the Seahawks record in their last 16 games?

Simply trying to get a reasonable sample size of the team's play in 16 game increments. Maybe it means nothing but it does seem to pass with the eye test. This is an increasingly mediocre team with some clunkers on both sides of the ball happening way more often than it used to.

Do people know the Seahawks record in their last 16 games?

They also have the 6th highest team cap dollars spent for 2017.

Do people know the Seahawks record in their last 16 games?

8-7-1 In those 16 games, the offense has had SIX games with 13 or less points scored and an additional game where they scored 20 (the Atlanta playoff loss). In the same span, the defense has had FOUR games giving up 33 or more points and 4 more giving up 23 or more. Bear in mind that in all...

How do you feel now about Kam Chancellor's Extension

The extension was essentially through next year if you look at the structure of the deal and even 2018 isn't 100% a sure thing. For the short term it's fine but there's no question to me that Kam 2017 is not Kam 2012/2013 in terms of play. Still very good but odds are that we won't see SB 48...

    Interesting take on Pete Carroll.....

The irony is that the greatest team success was based on complementary football. Great run game, explosive and efficient pass game, dominating defense, good special teams. All of those pieces helped make the team great. It also means holding up when the other aspects are not doing it. The...

    Why not blame Russell Wilson

Wilson was fine without Marshawn in 2015 when Rawls was playing great. They need to establish a good running game for the team to play at their best offensively AND defensively. If Carson can continue to develop and Rawls comes back, it will help a lot. Play action doesn't work when you...

    Why not blame Russell Wilson

I agree with the premise but the grab by the DB affected where Lockett was too and factored into it IMO. On the other 2 throws I mentioned, those are on Wilson.

    Why not blame Russell Wilson

On the Lockett play, Wilson could not step into the throw and Lockett was grabbed by the DB. Honestly, the throws down the seam to McEvoy and Graham at the end of the first half were worse throws to me than the Lockett one. Agree that a fumble cannot happen on the sack. In fairness, he looked...

    The offense has no identity

This is a huge part of the problem. Lynch was unique in his ability to overcome poor blocking and still be effective. He and Wilson also were deadly in the read option sets although I do think teams got better at defending Wilson on that based on film and RW slowing down some. The 2nd half of...

    Davis over Boykin

Davis is the perfect backup to me. Boykin is way too impulsive and reckless to be trusted in a game and his accuracy is shaky.

My guess is that Rubin does not sign anywhere until after week 1.
