Bobby says Russ tried to recruit him to Denver 1 week before trade

No comments on Wagner's clarification that Wilson was not recruiting him? Regardless, this is all noise. In divorces between teams and veteran star players, there's always some level of both sides being right and wrong. Not to mention times heals wounds. Wagner and Russ will be welcomed...

Bobby says Russ tried to recruit him to Denver 1 week before trade

Well there's no surprise Wilson would want Bobby to join him since he knew he was going to Denver and that Seattle was cutting Wagner. Wagner even admitted he knew what was going to happen (a big clue would be no talks to renegotiate/take a massive pay cut)......Something we all know would not...

Bobby Wagner "No Hatred" For Seahawks

I'd still love to know the mechanics of how Wagner found out he was getting cut before the Seahawks talked to him as it's been confirmed that that happened before the Schefter tweet. Wonder if it was Rodgers/Russ who spilled the beans on the way out the door......

Should Dave Krieg be in the HOF?

No - he's not a HOF'er. Same with Hasselbeck. Good QB's in their prime but not Canton worthy.

    Who was/is the problem

They both had blame in this. Both are stubborn. Pete is antiquated and Russ is delusional and consumed by legacy/brand. One note from above. The idea the team moved on from the LOB to appease Wilson is just bunk. They were not going to give Earl a 3rd contract (which proved to be absolutely...

    Bobby Wagner a Ram?

Curious as to the structure/real money. 10 M a year seems steep for an inside LB in a 3-4.

With the first pick we should pick a (position)

I think you pick the best player on the board at Edge, LT, or CB. I guess they could go WR if the plan is to flip DK. Over drafting a QB IMO would be a big mistake.

Drew Lock is NOT Josh Allen

It's hard to be super optimistic that Lock will be the answer but it is true that he fits what they like to do in theory. Good in play action, mobile so you can do boots. The big concern is the inconsistent accuracy, some maturity issues in Denver, and the non-PA pure drop back efficiency.

Would You do this DK trade?

I love the "their giving everything away line". They got a haul for Wilson, who was not going to sign a 4th contract extension here, and cut a declining MLB making 20 M a year.

    The Seahawks Will Remain Relevant

Love Russ but honestly it was hard to envision the team as constructed with the GM/HC they have making SB runs. They have one playoff win in the last 5 years and missed the playoffs entirely in 2 of them. Something had to give and Russ declining in terms of efficiency on top of being difficult...

Nonsense, this is a total rebuild

Actions speak louder than words. They have purged nearly every player over 30 from the roster with today's moves. Rightfully so. Right now, they have only a handful of guys over 30 - Al Woods, Shelby Harris, Gabe Jackson, Jason Myers, and Nick Bellore. Go young with a mix of some key vets...

Are we in the Worst Case Scenario?

It comes down to whether the team solves the QB situation. Whether it be Lock, a draftee, someone in trade - you don't win without at least good QB play. If Pete and John get it resolved, they'll be fine. if not, they are likely gone by 2024/2025.

    The Wagner Uproar is RIDICULOUS

The moment the Russell trade was announced, everybody with a brain knew Wagner was next. He's slowed down and is nowhere near a 20 M/year player. In fact, they probably never should have done the last contract,

Seahawks' mistreatment of Bobby Wagner could cost them

It's a non issue. Florio is just a moron creating stories. It's no coincidence he has a regular appearance on Softy's pathetic show.

    Seahawks: REJECTED!

John McClain is a Houston based NFL reporter tied in to the Texans. It's likely his info is accurate albeit he's kind of like John Clayton in that he's been around forever but may be living on past glory as opposed to being tied in to the here and now. Hard for me to envision the Seahawks...

    Seahawks: REJECTED!

Well his agent is also Earl Thomas' agent FWIW. Still, he's clearly the best QB option out there right now.

    Seattle to work out Kaepernick?

It would just be a bizarre move to me. You're not getting close to a SB with Kaepernick and QB's like him. Add in the huge layoff, the inevitable media circus, and it seems far more downside than upside. Watson makes a ton more sense or you go young with Lock and a draft pick.

    Seattle to work out Kaepernick?

It doesn't really make sense to me. He hasn't played competitively in years and he was bad at the end w/SF. If the goal is to go with a cheap, bad QB, they already guys in Lock and Eason......
