    Hotel rooms are super expensive all week but get cheap on game day Sunday. We couldn't figure out why for a week or so. Then, I saw Alabama @ Vandy tickets on StubHub. Dammit! (Didn't see drummers post until today.) Oh well. We're going to be in Memphis until Saturday morning anyway.

    The wife and I are going to the Tennessee game. Anybody know of a Hawks bar in the area before I try to search for one? Also, if anyone has been to Nashville, are there any must see places that aren't the obvious tourist traps? Just trying to get some early trip set up done.

    Players going on IR usually more than suck up any weekly performance bonuses. Guys on IR make 50% of their salary. Some folks may not know that.

    Injuries are the biggest factor on how far your team goes. Good teams that can keep more of their starters on the field have huge advantages in both play calling and togetherness. This definitely was Pete's least talented team going into the playoffs. You could see this was a really tough year...

    I agree, this team had no swagger. There wasn't one area you could hang your hat on and rely on completely. This was a real coaching challenge. As soon as you patch a hole, another one shows up. We went about as far as we could go.

    Every year is a different story. What did we learn? Of course, injuries will kill any run. Russell needs a real running back. Marshawns dont grow on trees. Rawls is definitely a try hard guy but I dont think he can make a defense drop 8 in the box and wear em out. Sherman was nursing injuries...

    Officiating is so bad, I quit!

    If road teams don't play significantly better than home teams, they're not going to win. It seems to be the way the NFL wants it. A 10 pt win at home becomes a 3 pt loss on the road. I keep thinking that home field advantage + Homer ref calls = 10 - 14 pts.
