    DVOA #2 currently?!?!

Considering our losses came via the #1, #3, #6, #9 and #22 teams - they don't count so badly against us and Shatz talks about how mediocre this year is in the NFL. Moreover, DVOA is a statistic that is created on a per play basis. Though there is some variation, generally is you have more good...

Earl's interception. Tapping the ball on the ground...

If the catch is completed - it doesn't matter.

Russ's best Comparison as a QB?

Except Steve Young had Jerry Rice.

This is starting to feel like 2012

With the gain in ridiculous efficiency the last couple of games - I am feeling lots of parallels between this year and 2012. In that year we blew games to Detroit and Miami, lost early games to St. Louis and Arizona but then had a 4 game stretch where we were won of the best offenses in history...

    Don't fire Darrell Bevell.

    Agreed. Don't FIRE BEVELL.

    Offensive DVOA surprise

lol I have been arguing this for years but just lost steam cause it was a lost cause. People are gonna hate Bevell unless we get 5 TDs a game. Despite our propensity toward running - we have had a top 10 offense for 4 years straight. I am not going to say Bevell is the greatest OC in the...

Update: Jimmy Graham out for year; patella tendon

I think he probably broke his distal fibula based on how he landed.

Great defense - but we still need to shut down a great QB

Now only if our offense can catch up

    Blame Bevell

    Who should be 15-7

    What an embarrassment......

Not much to say but that was the worst quarter of football I have seen in years....

My elephant in the room - the RB situation

I don't see many people talking about this but I think it deserves a post. RB is vital to this offense. In many ways Marshawn is more important than Russell to executing Pete's offensive philosophy. This is why we drafted heavily and developed 2 young RBs to take over for Marshawn in the...

A Win That Wins No Respect - great read!

Our defense was horrendous. We gave up 34 points. We were really bad defending long balls. End of story.

    Tiresome Negativity

This. The offense, even at its best, always got better as the game went on and Lynch wore the defense down. We had the BEST second half DVOA on offense last year and only middle of the road in the first half. There has been no opportunity to do that. Preseason simply doesn't allow us to put the...

CenturyLink Field is no longer the "Home of the 12th Man."

I definitely prefer 12s. I think it kind of also refers to the fact that many people have "FAN" jerseys with the #12 on the back and people saying, "I'm a 12" rather than, "I am a member of the 12th man" or whatever.

Russell Wilson's contract pushed to next year?

We have him for three years. What's the rush? I have nothing but full confidence in Russell Wilson's character to play at the highest level during that time without a long-term deal in place. Besides in three years - perhaps our cap situation won't quite looks as bleak as the cap will keep going up.

PFF ranks Marshawn Lynch the No. 8 best player in the NFL

He has made this offense go for several years now and is still the most important piece. The difference when he came between plays for 0 yards compared to 3-4 is staggering. Those don't show up on the score sheet as important but they keep drives going.

Pick #69, Tyler Lockett, WR/KR/Gunner, KSU

Agreed. That is another reason to go with a guy like Lockett over a larger WR. There are only so many WR spots and when you are going to be the WR3 through WR6 have to have some other skills if they are going to get a starting spot. Usually larger WR simply can't do anything else so unless they...

Pick #130, Terry Poole, OT, SDSU

Yeah I think that is misleading - like most things with the Hawks. They probably weren't projecting zone scheme guards but a as conventional tackle.

    So who plays C?

I guess we are happy with Jeanpierre? Anyone else out there?

Pick #69, Tyler Lockett, WR/KR/Gunner, KSU

In my opinion he is a lot like Percy Harvin. Just has a better attitude and less talented (though Percy is just ultimately talented so it isn't much of a knock). Though I think he will be a better WR than Percy. Better route running etc.
