Kyle Shanahan and Matt Ryan's 99 yd drive vs Seahawks

The difference is though this #1 Pats defense is not even close to the HISTORIC 2013 Seattle defense. The Pats played a schedule full of Tyrod Taylors, Landry Joneses and Ryan Fitzpatricks. The best (and only good QB they faced outside of maybe Flacco) was Wilson... and they lost that game...

Help! Where to watch the superbowl in Seattle?...

There's a few of us here. The job market here is considerably better than rural southeast Georgia... and that's why I came to the great northwest 5 1/2 years ago. I'm watching it at home with about 4 of my Seattle fan friends who are rooting for the Falcons. :2thumbs:

Falcons Super Bowl run already creating "Pay Me" issues

This year is the year they end the drought! I'll be there... and I'll change the avatar after Sunday.

#1 Defense vs #1 Offense in the Super Bowl

You're right... and I'm fine with other people's opinions. We've got about 6 Patriot fan/trolls over at Falcons.com giving us their daily message about how the Patriots D is gonna shut us down because Belichick is a master game planner and Brady is Brady. It's cool... doesn't bother me at all...

Falcons Super Bowl run already creating "Pay Me" issues

Hahah... my family says I should have been a sportscaster. I don't mean to be so annoying but I just have this thing about absorbing everything I read about sports stats and history. It's not just football... I do it with baseball too. Go Mariners. :)

#1 Defense vs #1 Offense in the Super Bowl

Not nearly as amusing as your posts hating on: 1) The Falcons 2) My posts But yet you claim you're pulling for Atlanta. Ok. (I really don't care who you're pulling for... it's just hilarious that every post you make is bringing up reasons why the Falcons might lose the game... as if you are...

Shanahan's backpack with playbook temporarily missing

I saw this and was like WTF? Agree with everything you said... except the part about Belichick getting his eyes on it. It does make for some good pre-game drama but I think the Falcons will be fine. If they get shut out.. I'll blame Shanahan.

#1 Defense vs #1 Offense in the Super Bowl

Let's hope so. Phew... thanks for clearing that up. As for the Seattle/Denver/Philly/KC games that you speak of... the only one that was after the bye (the point at which the Falcons started to play better) was the KC game in week 13... shoulda woulda coulda been a W... Ryan...

Falcons Super Bowl run already creating "Pay Me" issues

Yeah... the Falcons have been very fortunate this year in that regard. Losing Trufant in week 9 hurt... but Collins has stepped up and done a nice job. Overall the team has remained healthy. The biggest FA signing was C Alex Mack... and the overall health of the OL was the best in the NFL...

Falcons Super Bowl run already creating "Pay Me" issues

If it happens that's exactly what I'm gonna do. :irishdrinkers: Nice post. Yeah... 9 starters in 2 drafts is pretty amazing. Can't expect that every year though but still gotta give props for a job well done all around. We do meet next year... Atlanta makes another trip here... and...

Falcons Super Bowl run already creating "Pay Me" issues

I would think we'll be able to enjoy at least 2-3 years like the Seahawks did before we start having these issues. Freeman was drafted in 2014... so I'm pretty sure the Falcons saw this one coming. He's an exceptional back no doubt... and definitely deserves a raise. A lot of our young talent...

#1 Defense vs #1 Offense in the Super Bowl

Hahah... that makes 3 of us not impressed with the Pats D. You, me, and Rich Eisen. LOL Atlanta's D went from 27 PPG to 19 PPG over the last 6 weeks and has looked great in the playoffs as well... and the offense has put up 40 a game. I have too much respect for B & B to guarantee...

#1 Defense vs #1 Offense in the Super Bowl

Are you using "vaunted" seriously or sarcastically? TBH I'm tired of debating it. New England fans are humping the leg of the #1 scoring defense animal to no end... it was much more fun debating with Seattle fans. We'll find out in 6 more days. As for the defensive rankings I guess it...

#1 Defense vs #1 Offense in the Super Bowl

Someone had to give Brady a challenge during the regular season right? We know that the Patriots yielded the fewest points among NFL teams. But that doesn’t mean New England had the No. 1 defense. Going by yards against, it was No. 8. Using Outsiders’ DVOA (defense-adjusted value above...

Kyle Shanahan: Patriots defense the biggest challenge we've

We'll know by the end of the 1st qtr if it's a factor. I kinda doubt it though. Quinn will have the team ready. Hell, maybe this week he'll go over footage of the 2007 Giants, 2009 Saints, 2010 Packers, 2012 Ravens and 2013 Seahawks? Those teams had no Super Bowl experience either. Might...

Kyle Shanahan: Patriots defense the biggest challenge we've

Nobody here is underestimating Belichick. All I've said is the Patriots defense has played a schedule full of Landry Joneses and Tyrod Taylors on their way to the #1 scoring defense. I'm glad I'm not the only one that sees that... (see Rich Eisen video above) What was that Rich said? Falcons...

Kyle Shanahan: Patriots defense the biggest challenge we've

Belichick had nothing but praise for the Falcons in his presser yesterday and I think Shanahan is doing the same. Talking up the opponent like any smart coach would do. Shanahan is right... NE only gave up 30 points once this year... the game they lost to Seattle. The rest of the games were...

#1 Defense vs #1 Offense in the Super Bowl

I'm sure they will be fine with it if taking Julio out is the way the Pats go... Falcons are 7-0 this year in games Julio was held to less than 60 yards (5 games) or DNP (2 games). It's not like Atlanta doesn't have guys named Gabriel, Sanu, Hooper, Freeman, Coleman, Hardy that can score...

#1 Defense vs #1 Offense in the Super Bowl

More reason for optimism... Fun with perception: Atlanta's offense played the No. 2 hardest schedule of defenses this year. NE's D played the easiest sched of offenses. https://twitter.com/FO_ASchatz/status/8 ... 4866327552 Picks are starting to come in over at nflpickwatch... and some might...
