Richard Sherman writing column for MMQB

You don't watch, or go on, First Take for intelligent debate. The whole show is basically a screaming match devoid of thought, Sherman's intent was to beat Bayless at his own game.

Von Miller Facing 4 game suspension

I love how Football is a team sport, unless we're talking about QBs. QB wins and losses are as stupid as pitcher wins and losses.

15-25 Yard Pass to Sydney Rice = Money

I'm glad you brought this up. Rice (and Tate to a degree) don't get enough love in Seattle because their numbers/plays are limited by lack of pass calls. Rice isn't that quick for shorter routes (although I seem to recall him doing well on slants), but he's one of those "always open even if...

Star Wars - The Old Republic - NDA Lifted!

I played just about everything except Darktide over the 5+ years I spent with AC. I was in Wintersebb the day it opened, was like playing a brand new game. I agree with Roland. I wish AC2 had been a big update to AC rather than a completely different game in the same world. I'd pay stupid money...

    Belated NBA 2K13 Stuff

Somehow we dropped the ball. I was REALLY slow to warm to this year’s version, so that might be part of it. Now that I’ve played for a while it is fun, but I had to play with sliders a bit because 3s and long 2s were way too easy. I spent most of this year building the Seattle Sonics off the...

    NCAA 2014

Anyone else playing it? I was able to get a few hours in last night. I love the new recruiting so far, saves a ton of boring repetitive work that made me hate (and usually sim) recruiting. I am enjoying it now. It is ultra important to pick the right players at the beginning of the year. Only...

    Percy Harvin vs. Cordarrelle Patterson

I'd rather have Percy. Two reasons: Until someone takes it from him, Percy is the best run after catch receiver in the NFL. I like Austin and Patterson, but #1 is #1. Also, Harvin can get himself open, Patterson is going to struggle with that a lot in his first few seasons, he's great after the...

Star Wars - The Old Republic - NDA Lifted!

Roland - I agree with everything and yeah, I remember the Olthoi Queen event. So awesome. AC's special in-game events were as well done as any in the MMO genre. Favorite experience, in any game, was taking down the White Rabbit for the first time in Frostfell's history. That motha was one nasty...

Star Wars - The Old Republic - NDA Lifted!

I never understood why AoC's combat didn't become more widespread. My list of enjoyable leveling experiences goes something like this: Asheron's Call (combat was ahead of its time, but I spent so much time exploring because you could run away from a LOT of trouble if you wandered into the...

Star Wars - The Old Republic - NDA Lifted!

That's kind of like being proud that the 2009 Seahawks had one of the best punters in the game. Leveling is not the point of a good MMO. BTW - TERA was 100x more enjoyable. If you're going to make everyone do the exact same thing, at least make the combat engaging.

    NBA returning to Seattle?

Throwdown - I can't believe you squashed the one (NBA-related) optimistic thought Blitzer has had in months

Draft to be moved to May - per Schefter.

Never said it was. But, for the non-draftniks, is the dead season (May and June) really better than draft season? IMO right now is the worst time in the NFL because nothing really is going on. The less we have of that, the better.

Draft to be moved to May - per Schefter.

I think this is great - extra 3 weeks of draft season, 3 fewer weeks of post-draft-wtf-do-we-talk-about-til-TC season. Plus, I will no longer have to juggle my birthday with the draft.

Budda bakers new car: looks a little fishy

No fair, Recon. How am I supposed to debate with you when all I can do is stare at that avatar? *deep breath* Let's try this again. What's the problem if a coach does tell a player "If you play at Central Washington University, your autographs will be worth 5 bucks a pop. If you play at UW...

Is an NBA Expansion Team on the horizon for Seattle?

Hansen traded all of his leverage for something. If he traded it for a promise of "consideration" and with the fear that the NBA might block him from ever owning a team if he didn't fold, I'd be very disappointed and I'm done with the NBA. I refuse to contribute to portraying Seattle as the...

Budda bakers new car: looks a little fishy

I understand the arguments for not wanting to pay/regulate pay of players. But why not allow players to earn what they can? Sell autographs/memorabilia, keep any gifts, etc. If my talent is in computer languages and I use that talent to make money, it is totally acceptable. But if I am an...

    Favorite alternate college teams

Obviously I love the Ducks. LSU is my #2 team, as I almost went to school there. Twice. Soft spots for Florida, Michigan State, Texas, and North Carolina.

How about least favorite college teams?

WSU (I was raised by Dawgs, never fully got behind UW but hating WSU is in my DNA) and Ohio State (just always have). A bit of Alabama, too, mostly because my 2nd team is LSU and I'm a little tired of seeing them in the BCS game.

    NY Giants sign Aaron Curry...

Aaron Curry is a fascinating study of how long a supremely athletic individual can last in the NFL without any kind of positive body-of-work. Awesome athlete, awful football player.
