Jim Harbaugh supporting brother John at Ravens game

I hope that he loses every game that he coaches at Michigan, that his wife leaves him for a dance instructor, and that her lawyer pours sugar in his gas tank.

    Carolina vs the Cards

I like Cam as well. Until he's declared to be our opponent tomorrow, at which point I hate his guts for a week.

    Carolina vs the Cards

Nope. Not once the first two wins are already in the books. This is just one of those oft-repeated talking points that doesn't seem to have any significant truth behind it. Source: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d8 ... eam-before That story is from 2008, and there have been three sweep...

    Carolina vs the Cards

I don't like Arizona's chances here at all, but I'll be pulling for them for once just because it's so gratifying to put that gathering of trash in their place over and over again.

Michael Bennett: Defensive linemen not treated fairly

I remember the thread where the guy was offended by Michael Bennett because Michael Bennett greeted the guy's kid with "what it do?"

    Wagner's pricetag keeps going up

Ha, maybe so, and if so then LOL me. I've just seen so much "Russell doesn't care about money, he cares about the TEAM" stuff that my judgment may be off.

    Cowboys + Refs = Trouble

I'm not sure that data covering only 16 games for one team in one season can actually demonstrate much of any problem. Unlike baseball, football just doesn't reach anything resembling a meaningful sample size during the course of one year. The penalty disparity, as laid out in this thread, isn't...

    Wagner's pricetag keeps going up

...well, that and they couldn't make him an offer months ago. And although they could actually sign him to an extension now, I doubt they're distracting players with contract talk until the playoffs are over.

    Team That Scares Me Most

The problem with the defense-heavy teams that struggle on offense (Arizona, St. Louis, Carolina) is basically that the odds are significantly higher that they'll be held to a low score than that they'll hold Seattle to a low score. Obviously it's totally possible that their defense balls out...

    Cowboys + Refs = Trouble

In terms of getting the wrong end of the officiating this season...I dunno, it's possible. Unless officiating is really in-your-face bad, I try to just shake it off and ignore it. I can think of three games in just about 25 years as a Hawks fan where I would actually blame the loss on poor...

    Cowboys + Refs = Trouble

The part where the NFL orders "weighted officiating."

Thomas, Sherman, and Wagner made the All-Pro Team.

This is about this season alone. Kam really wasn't very effective for a big chunk of this season due to injury, and it was enough to drop him.

    Cowboys + Refs = Trouble

Umm, everything you described after saying "Conspiracy? No..." seems to stem pretty heavily from a conspiracy theory.

    Wagner's pricetag keeps going up

I really don't think that they throw the money they did at Wright and Avril without having a very reasonable amount earmarked for Wagner. I'm still not worried about losing him.

Golden Tate hit on Barry Church

I think it's great. It's by far the best way to condescendingly dismiss/belittle the person coming at you.

Yep. This victim complex, and anyone who perpetuates it, is pathetic.

Seahawks final Strength of Schedule rating.

A bit puzzled as well. This link says Tampa's schedule was weaker: http://www.buccaneers.com/news/article- ... 37d7aa5ebc

Predictionmachine says SB comes down to...

Not really underestimating the HFA + bye thing, it's more just that I see Denver as the most vulnerable team who has those things. Manning really doesn't look right recently.
