    Bring on those kitty cats!

Easy game. A slow start is obviously possible given how frequently our team has those, but Carolina almost never wins this game.

    Cowboys + Refs = Trouble

You're still incredibly likely to be wrong, but I can understand how some poor officiating late today would reinforce your initial belief given your willingness to believe it to begin with.

Legendary ESPN Sportscaster Stuart Scott, dies at 49

Terribly sad news. Usually celebrity deaths don't really affect me, but this one choked me up right away. Grew up on Stuart Scott and Rich Eisen hosting Sportscenter and always loved them as a duo. Very difficult to watch Eisen having to say goodbye to his old partner on the air this morning.

If it's Panthers? 10 points or less against us. Lions?

Meh, I've dealt with tons of Detroit/University of Michigan fans and my experience with them is overwhelmingly negative. Obviously different people will have different experiences with fanbases though.

Bye week topic...favorite pre-Pete Hawk squad

Either the 2003 or 2005 Holmgren teams. The 2005 squad obviously reached a greater height, but the 2003 Seahawks were the first team in my time as a fan that felt like a really good team; I had been a fan since 1990, and the only other playoff squad was the one that started 8-2 and then finished...

Too Bad It's Not Going To Be Arizona

Anyone who is being logical. Of course they could. But if you have a 70% chance of beating one team, and an 85% chance of beating the other, you choose the 85%. The playoffs are a minefield; you get set up against another team to battle to the death, and they all have SOME non-zero chance of...

If it's Panthers? 10 points or less against us. Lions?

Far prefer to play the Panthers. Think we would probably take care of the Lions as well, but they would pose the greater threat. Also the Lions going on an actual playoff run would be the worst thing in the world, because they're an incredibly unlikable team with incredibly unlikable fans.

    Carolina vs the Cards

Yeah, I'm not a Dungy fan but that was a cheap shot. And if it was motivated by Dungy simply giving another team a chance to beat us, then holy crap.

    Ravens v Steelers...

I can hardly wait for the moment where the Steelers, down 15, score a TD and then kick the one point instead of going for two because the one makes it a one-score game and because NFL coaches jerk off to the thought of losing close games at the expense of some of their win equity.

    Carolina vs the Cards

Tony Dungy is a remarkably stupid man, but I have zero reason to believe that he's carrying out personal grudges toward teams on the air.

Is there a bigger jack@ss than Cam

I dunno, didn't really bother me. He was pissed about the scoreboard operator inducing noise while the offense was on the field, if I recall correctly? A little weird to say something to the media about it, but whatever.

Is there a bigger jack@ss than Cam

I like Peyton Manning. I remember one incident where he threw his O-Line under the bus after a game and obviously I don't approve of that, but I generally find him more likable than most. His little brother Eli, he's another one I think to be a jackass. Using his family name to leverage where...

Is there a bigger jack@ss than Cam

Would also take Cam over Kaepernick, over Roethlisberger, over Rex Grossman if he's still in the league...

Is there a bigger jack@ss than Cam

Ah, I missed the mark. The post asked for QBs. As mentioned above, I'd take Cam over Cutler from a personality standpoint.

    Carolina vs the Cards

Heck, the stuff you named about Favre is nothing I ever even mention. I just couldn't stand his attention-whoring ass, him holding his franchise hostage year after year with the "will I retire or not?" stuff. A reporter asked him one time if he was putting the Packers in a bad position by not...

    Carolina vs the Cards

Higher-quality football for sure, but damn these teams are both incredibly unlikable. I can hardly take a side between them.

    Carolina vs the Cards

Umm, are you under the impression that Favre doesn't have a whole ton of haters? I hate on Favre more than just about any player ever, and it always feels like I get quite a bit of agreement from people.

    Carolina vs the Cards

I can't blame Carolina for celebrating, since it will be their only playoff win this year.

    A Super Bowl Hypothetical

Tony Romo Calvin Johnson (only if he leaves Detroit) Steven Jackson Larry Fitzgerald (only if he leaves Arizona) Sammy Watkins (particularly in Buffalo; I'd like to see them break through)
