This is from a Seattle media point of view and don't kid yourself if we struggle running the ball in Denver the media will run with it and it will put more pressure on the FO . I'm not saying it will force anyone's hand but it could have some effect. It's an NFL game man so the media will have...
All you have to do is look at the huge games he's had in the regular season and the playoffs against NO and SF. The SB I'm not sure he even got a carry in the 4rth quarter so the answer is hell yes we need Lynch until someone else proves it we need him.
If we go into Denver and can't run the ball and struggle offensively the pressure will really start to build on the FO. If we can then Lynch's hand is gonna take a big hit.
Sorry but I've never been that high on the guy. I've seen him play in preseason and I wasn't impressed. I wasn't that impressed with him coming out of college either he struggled just to stay on his feet at times with those stick legs .
So your saying they should trade him then or you hope he retires. Nothing wrong with that except we won't have a proven star running back this season and you missed the point if they change the incentives in the contract to base salary he won't have to worry about the incentives.
Health is something that can be easily observed during training camp as is who is getting time with the first unit. That's not good news regarding Okung but it doesn't surprise me at all.
These practices don't really concern me we can see them in a real game in a few days and have a much better picture of what we have. I tried to watch a couple of the podcats but it was extremely tedious i'll just wait until we play a game to start evaluating.
There is a really good discussion on Softy's show right now with a former agent Joel Cory. He made the point that there's a lot they could do without really changing anything in terms of the salary cap . One was simply adding all the incentives to base salary . This thing will be resolved by...
You know this really isn't worth worrying about his only leverage is retirement I can't see him walking away from millions of dollars and if he does next man up.
There will be no new deal or money added we are talking about moving some of next years money to this year and I think it's fair because he will be cut next year unless he plays great and he probably will then who knows, anyway he's worth it.
