Seahawks are trading CB Ahkello Witherspoon

Yeah Flowers just can not turn his head, period. I still remember him shutting down hopkins last year in what I thought was one of his best performances, and just hope he has a few more of those in him while we find the answer. He played far above his usual level that day.

Seahawks to sign Blessuan Austin, CB

CB was a weakness last year, and it looked to be a dumpster fire this year, with the team seeming to have no answers. Reed was a nice player last year, but we don’t know what he looks like as “the guy” and Witherspoon was always JAG. Rough times ahead, but I do really like that Pete and...

Florio: Hawks done negotiating w/Adams, will tag him twice

Injuries and regression in coverage last year are two big reasons I didn’t love the idea of giving Adams a big contract, despite his at-times dominance. Nobody can know if we will tag him twice, that’s florio bull crap, but I’d be a-okay if we tagged him this year, that’s for sure. Especially...

Who’s our starting center game one?

Much respect to maelstrom but with what we have at WR1 and WR2, and with our OL history, I take a C prospect all day over WR3. I personally believe that OL depth is priority and I’m puzzled at folks who do not.

    Sherman arrested.

I kinda admire Sherman's technique on the door, guy can still jam at the line. I'm thankful he didn't get through it, because holy shit one moment of that explosiveness could have made this a lot more tragic story. If Sherman were one scintilla as intelligent or thoughtful as he tries to...

"We're Going To See DeShawn Shead Do Some Great Stuff"

I place zero value on assurances from former players turned coaches. Sheaf may be a stand up guy, but extrapolating out to coaching prowess is wish casting

    Corner

We’ve addressed our d line on paper but I don’t trust it, and I predict our defense as currently constituted will struggle to cover. Sign Sherman and any other corners we can.

Can we get Sherman for cheap now?

In terms of NFL transgressions this is weak tea. Sign him for a friendly deal

    Sherman arrested.

This is where I’m at. The highest communications grad is lesser than the lowliest engineering grad. We like to laud players for intelligence, and Sherman is Einstein relative to other nfl players, but real world that degree confers the absolute least in terms of intelligence. I respect a blue...

Could Aaron Rodgers survive 1 season behind our O-line?

Show the tape of Wilson not being hesitant vs zone under in the short middle, not some “facts” you cherry pick and massage. Because I can show you multiple open routes over short middle that Wilson ignored in a single game and sometimes series where you can see Wilson looking at them so the...

If we don't dump Jamal Adams for some nice trade...

Fair enough. How about corner? Also, if we can get home with the front 4, why 15 mil for a guy who we targeted because we hadn’t addressed the pass rush last offseason? Although if we do pay the tab for Adams, my hope is that the ability to get home without blitzing will give us the ability...

If we don't dump Jamal Adams for some nice trade...

Chemistry exists, sure, but so does pass rush. The defense was still awful before Dunlap. I’d be prepared to accept losing Adams’s fire for the picks and the cash to build a deeper pass rush up front and who knows, maybe find that leader in house.

Could Aaron Rodgers survive 1 season behind our O-line?

I feel Russ is limited when it comes to using areas of the field to help vs 2 high and pass rush, and also that Russ inexplicably ignores blitzing corners or safeties off the edge, creating sacks that are attributed to OL but are all Russ. That said I firmly believe OL should be a much higher...

Could Aaron Rodgers survive 1 season behind our O-line?

I think Rodgers can use more of the field effectively than Russ, but Rodgers may be the one elite QB who holds the ball longer than Russ. That’s just their style. So it’s not a slam dunk to me that Rodgers would mitigate a bad OL better than Wilson I think it’s possible Rodgers’s arm talent...

If we don't dump Jamal Adams for some nice trade...

He brings a lot as a blitzer but I dislike being outmanned in the secondary when a safety blitzes unless we drop a DE in cover which isn’t much better coverage-wise. If he gets home say 1 out of 5 times, we are at a disadvantage in coverage 80% of the time he blitzes. And, if you have a guy...

    Still Don't Understand

Name any game and I can show, even with broadcast footage, hitches, curls, digs open over the middle, many times that Russ looked at and passed on. Schotty adjusted with short routes, the tape shows it. Where he failed was continuing to scheme short routes Russ won’t use, instead of running...

    Everett said, per USA Today.

I’d love for Russ to notice the TE this year on something besides a seam route but I don’t have much hope. I mean he eventually started to find jimmy graham between the 20s so I suppose there is hope but he passed up so many open hitches last year in quick pressure situations that I despair.

Russell Wilson to stay in Seattle per Jarrett Payton!

Russell Wilson has declared war on the Seahawks

Tough to find a crack in Db's logic here IMO
