NFL to review allegations vs. Burfict

Yes, I was personally surprised by their classiness. It's pretty rare to see it in fans, being in the same division as the Saints and Falcons.

    So the Panthers defense?

    So the Panthers defense?

Yes, I've lurked .NET enough to know that Hawks fans and Whiner fans are bitter about Kuechly's DPOY award. But considering all three teams were truly elite defenses last season and both the Niners and Hawks had more players with familiar names -- many of the media voters probably voted Kuechly...

    So the Panthers defense?

If you talk to enough Panthers fans, many will tell you Luke is only the second best linebacker on the team. Thomas Davis was not his usual self on SNF. Those two feed off one another - when one is off, the other will look horrible. Luke looked out of place most of the game. I don't think the...

    So the Panthers defense?

SNF was definitely hard to watch last week. Thomas Davis looked off all game long. Our secondary is worse than we all thought. AJ Klein flashed brilliantly last year vs. the 49ers but looked awful at times against the Steelers. Greg Hardy's absence kills our run defense; his backups are pure...

Could Carolina take the next step this year?

Would have had a sweet TD under college rules today; but he's gotta learn to plant his feet, not kick them up - rookie mistake.

Could Carolina take the next step this year?

Remains to be seen... week 1 - no Cam week 2 - no DWilliams, all RBs except Stewart went down with injuries; KB remembered he's a rookie The line has looked better than anyone expected. A few hiccups exist on offense, but just about everything is coachable.

    McCown instead of Glennon

I'm not sure we're quite at that level this year. McCown did have a few WTF plays... both our interceptions were off of those, but he also extended a scoring drive on one of them. Experienced starting QBs would have taken sacks on those plays, but he put 'em up on a prayer. He's a career backup...

    Kelvin Benjamin

He and Cam bonded almost immediately; they were inseparable during training camp. I'm not sure how much Riverboat or OC Mike Shula had to do with it. Ricky Proehl definitely will get the best out of him.

    Steve Smith?

He stated in a radio interview that his wife and kids are not interested in leaving Charlotte. In Baltimore, he would still be fairly close (>1 hr flight)

Panthers set to release WR Steve Smith

classy. If only he followed your lead, right? Knocked out any undercover police wearing opponent jerseys in the clink lately? Unfortunately for you, Smith is pretty known for his financial savvy.

    Steve Smith?

The only rookie I remember him abusing was Janoris Jenkins, who supposedly showed up talking about Smitty's wife. The Hawks play Jeff Fisher teams twice a season. You should know the crap they bring after the whistle.

    Steve Smith?

I disagree with almost everything here, but I am biased. Smith has been begging for a smaller role in the offense for years. He told Williams and Stewart (in their heyday) that he will happily play second fiddle and ride their coat tails. He is a showboat, but he is far from a "me first"...

Congrats Seahawks, from an NYG fan.

Congrats, Hawks. I always thought Pete Carrol was a good coach, but I've never seen a coach have his team prepared like last night. That man earned a whole lot of respect. I have never seen a more dominant team in every phase of the game like that.

    Panthers and Whiners

We're used to it. The picked up flag vs. the Patriots was the exception, not the rule.

Sure feels like it's going to be 49ers-Seahawks again

Homer glasses? I have stated on .net that I'm not confident in this game. I've predicted a loss over on the huddle. I've posted there countless times criticizing Shula's offense, especially against the 3-4. Steve Smith isn't even our top receiver this year... not in yards, receptions or TDs. In...

Sure feels like it's going to be 49ers-Seahawks again

Well here are two examples: 1 - Bountygate. 2 - Week 17 2011: Our defense was decimated by injuries. The starting defense that week consisted of guys who would struggle to make ST or practice squads. Sean Payton took the opportunity to bring a list of who needs what to set records. (Sproles...

Sure feels like it's going to be 49ers-Seahawks again

I'm not looking for support. I know the Hawks-Niners rivalry is pretty intense and I wanted the 12th man's take on the game. If you've noticed, I haven't really replied to others' predictions of doom for the Panthers. They seem to have thought it out and explained how they've reached those...
