Your all time favorite Seahawks "role players" and why?

A few more of my all time favorites: 1. John Harris-Seventh round draft pick from Arizona State came out of training camp a starter. Noted for his intelligence, I still think they made a mistake trading him to the Vikings years later. 2. Greg Gaines-A Safety from Tennessee, converted...

Your all time favorite Seahawks "role players" and why?

From the early days: 1. Don dufek-special teams ace from U. of Michigan. 2. Paul Moyer-Safety who did everything on special teams and did it well. I think both were members of coach Rusty Tillman's "Rat Patrol"

Kapadia minicamp takeaways: McD, Roos, Tyson, Moore, Griffin

If Pete were as negative as many of the posters here the Seahawks may have been circling the drain long ago. Not this specific group of postings but the many negative nellies I have seen here over time. You can't lead by constantly being down about things.

The annual Adopt A Rookie thread

Nazair Jones. I expect he will be a strong presence in the D-line rotation and eventually, a vocal leader. Gotta love Ted Thompson though.

Pauline: FO graded 7 of their picks as 1st or 2nd-rounders

Davis Hsu adresses this nicely on his twitter feed. If you build your draft board in a strictly linear fashion, you may end up with the best players available at the spot where they were chosen. So, you have seven (or whatever number) of the best players you could get. But you may not have...

    Hawkscanner's Post-Draft Breakdown: DEFENSE

Thank you Hawkscanner, good stuff. Like i imagine most fans did, I looked up the measurables and found film on most of our new Seahawks. After doing so it became a much more confident in the players selected and signed as free agents. Some teams (TCU) run the 4-2-5 a LOT.

    Seahawks UDFA tracker

Jordan Roos looks good in his Seahawks cap. On Davis Hsu's blog it is said that he got the largest signing bonus Seattle gave out this year. $20,000 is the figure being reported. Last year I think Boykin might have been tops with $15.000, as I recall.

Pick #187, Mike Tyson, S, Cincinnati

I'm sure I read in one of his bios that both his father and grandfather are also Mike Tyson.

Pick #111, Tedric Thompson, DB, Colorado

I jumped on board in 1976. I have vivid memories of one year, 1980, where we lost all eight home games. I went to all of 'em and watched as we got thumped each time. So, yeah, I'm pretty damned happy with five straight playoff appearances and one Super Bowl championship.

John Schneider is hurting our team.

I think McDowell represents those tumblin' dice and I think they know it. Most telling is JS's last comment to McDowell on the welcoming phone call, "remember our conversation"? On the other hand, is there any such thing as a can't fail player?

Pick #58 Ethan Pocic, OL, LSU

This is what you get for going to the playoffs 5 years in a row, including 2 Super Bowls. You get fans who know a lot more than you do.

Pick #35 Malik McDowell, DT, Michigan State

Salt in the wound with the Cards getting Budda Baker and the Bills get Zay Jones. Two of my personal favorites.

    Seahawks Day 2 mock draft

If the Packers don't take Mixon, I hope the Seahawks do. Let the maiden aunts over at the Seattle Times wring their hands. The past is, by it's very nature, in the past. Lacey is on a one year deal. A rookie contract is for four. I would swap Mixon for Collins in a heartbeat. And I am one of...

John Schneider is hurting our team.

Interesting thread. It's easy to bitch about the guy they just picked. We're opening new frontiers here. Whining about picks when nobody has been selected.

Predict the Hawks 1st Round Pick thread.....

    T. J. Watt is my personal favorite and has been all through the draft process. However, I think the Seahawks trade down and Watt becomes a Packer (if he's not already gone). The Seahawks may trade down twice and still get Budda Baker. Outside of Malik Hooker, he's the nearest to Earl Thomas in...

49erswebzone mock draft for the Seahawks

jasta, I forgot to say that ya done good man. Difficult to draft for another team and then present the results to that teams fans. Shows some backbone. Unlike others, I really like Chris Wormley. Team captain, leader and his interviews indicate that he is a serious full grown man. His athletic...

Field Gulls article:. Who would you take at CB

How about that mutt from Michigan that Rob Staton likes, Jourdan Lewis? Or Shaquille Griffin as a late third rounder. They have had him in for a visit, per Field Gulls but no feedback so far that I have heard. A lot would depend on the resolution of the Sherman situation. I think most of us...
