    Murphy

The amazing thing to me is that a kid from Michigan decided to follow a sh*t team like the 1996 Seahawks. The Hawks were awful for most of the 90s.

Murphy All-22 that is fun (link fixed)

Murphy makes everyone else on the DL much better. It's not a coincidence that he returned from an injury, and the DL has its best game since he was injured.

    Robertson-Harris - Nice Initial Game

Roy's primary job will be to play the 5-tech and set the edge on running downs, something he did very well against Atlanta. I doubt he will be on the field much for passing downs.

    Anthony Bradford didn't suck yesterday!

I thought the right side of the OL played better than the left for a change. The Hawks also ran the ball better going right than left.

Why I think DK will NEVER reach his full potential

DK is a high-risk high-reward type of player and they are always polarizing and controversial. He's one of the most physically gifted receivers I've ever seen. In terms of athleticism (not production), I would put him at the same level as Randy Moss and Calvin Johnson. However, he also isn't...

Murphy OUT for at least 2 games

It's a hamstring. Those are always a problem.

Looked like the 12s were rocking it today!

Good job to all of you who made it to the game today! The game with all the crowd noise reminded me a bit of the legend of boom era.

    Geno won this game

I'm assuming you are not suggesting that Geno doesn't have the physical tools to be a top QB in the NFL and win in the playoffs. He clearly does. So I'm assuming you are suggesting he doesn't have the "it" factor that allows some players to handle the pressure and be at their best with the...

    Geno won this game

So...are we ready to give Geno an extension?

    Positive Thoughts (OL)

With McClendon Curtis being added from the practice squad and how Christian Haynes played this preseason, I'm interested in seeing if Forsythe, Tomlinson, and Bradford are on short leashes this game. On the road against a Patriots team that is better than Denver, the OL can't afford to start the...

Something I just noticed about the Browns game...

I agree. I was also happy to see JSN running more vertical routes. Last year it seemed JSN was targeted mostly on shallow crossers and not much downfield. So far, Grubb appears to be doing a better job utilizing the Hawks's talent at WR than Waldron did.

Daryll Taylor Traded to the Bears for 6th round pick

Wagner and Wright were picked when Seattle was still drafting according to talent, not need. Taylor was picked based on team needs.

Daryll Taylor Traded to the Bears for 6th round pick

Taylor was drafted during the period when PC and JS started pushing players up the board based on need. They stopped doing that after the 2021 draft and their drafts have dramatically improved.

Anyone who wanted anyone besides Murphy...well...

Ah. I remember that now. Thanks for the clarification.

Anyone who wanted anyone besides Murphy...well...

I've seen a couple of articles now that say he was the second defensive player taken. He was the first defensive player taken right?

    Who Did Not Stand Out?

I would have to go with Kenny McIntosh. I know he looked terrific running the ball. However, when you're the third RB, you must be able to pass-protect and McIntosh is a disaster as a blocker. He has trouble recognizing where the pressure is coming from and when he does step up to block he gets...

    Kick off rule question

Whoever dreamed up the new kickoff rules had to be high. That's just what I wanted to see more of, kickers making tackles. 😖

    C. Haynes vs Chargers

He looked good, both run blocking and pass pro. He showed his athleticism, both pulling and getting to the second level.

    Jamal Adams whispers

If he's willing to sign for the league minimum with no guaranteed money then sure. Check him out during training camp to see if there's a role he can fill and if not, cut him. However, I don't think his ego will allow him to sign a deal like this so I don't see it happening.

How often do first round QBs bust?

With some of the discussions on the board, I decided to collect a little data to gain some perspective on this question. So I counted the number of QBs drafted from 1993 (the year the Hawks drafted Rick Mirer) through 2018 and classified them as Busts and Not Busts. I stopped in 2018 primarily...
