    Should we retain Golden?

We need speed on the outside besides Percy Harvin, as we found out this year, no credible WR threats equated to heavy interior blitzing. RW gets pummeled, Lynch gets slowed up in the backfield since he can't bounce it outside anymore, etc etc. Whether its a tall WR with credible speed that can...

I'm erring on the side of Bennett being gone.

And there's that horrid 3rd down defense that we were sporting in 2012 as well, abused by air and ground. And the fact that over 20% of our sacks on the year came in one game vs. Green Bay.

49ers Super Bowl teams would beat us to a pulp?

lol, those 70's Stealers SB teams would have eaten the 80's 9ers for lunch too. But the 60's Packers would have wiped the floor with both. And so on.

My Pessimistic View of our Cap Situation

Yet they have 5 picks before we pick our third. That concept of trading when you have adequate depth and such.

My Pessimistic View of our Cap Situation

San Francisco wouldn't need to do that because they have put themselves in great position in drafts while remaining competitive, during Harbaugh's reign anyway. They've played their starters and hardly sub any rookies in, but they aren't exactly lacking a bright outlook there, what with almost...

My Pessimistic View of our Cap Situation

That was the whole argument last year with Percy. He isn't hitting us hard yet. He only cost us 2 rookie contracts and any way you slice it, either an elite or great piece of the best defense in more than a decade with his second year cap hit. All for 50 snaps and no guarantees of an injury free...

My Pessimistic View of our Cap Situation

Sure, playing a second place schedule in a considerably weaker NFC West...even with Clemons, no sure bet we would win an NFC Championship in Candlestick. We had no expectations, the read option few could defend, and no target on our backs. Seems things went a little different this year, and now...

My Pessimistic View of our Cap Situation

We've had more success at drafting and developing talent at CB than we have had on the DL. By a large factor. Our secondary will take a hit the other way as well if we can't pressure or contain the run with our front four. We'll be partying like it's 2012.

My Pessimistic View of our Cap Situation

All I'm going to say is examine the depth behind your superstar players. Thomas = Maragos, the guy who laterals a botched FG snap to the Titans for a touchdown when simply getting tackled would have ended the half. Sherman = Maxwell and Lane, both proven starters, 3 if we can make a decent...

    Possible suitors for Bennett?

We signed him on a 1 year prove it deal, he did. Now everyone wants him to sign 3/for chump change or he's greedy. So much for FA's wanting part of this town. Back to square 1.

Bennett not open to home town discount

Chances are a significant hole where they should have been anchoring is going to be exploited. If I were a RB, I'd be looking for such a hole, even if it isn't designed to be the hole. Chances are, holes weren't usually found where Bennett was involved. Unfortunately not many of our young DL...

Bennett not open to home town discount

And wasn't run at anymore then Sherman was tested. Reputation is a wonderful thing. If I saw Hill, Irvin, Mayowa etc. on a 3rd and 6, I wouldn't have much issue pounding the ball right at them on a 3rd and 6.

Bennett not open to home town discount

Not to mention Bennett is as good defending the run as he is rushing the passer. We put an inferior DT rotation in the mix, and we will be abused on the ground. All those garbage time rushing yards we allowed will become common.

    Would You Rather?

I mostly agree with the DL thoughts, aside from Bennett is extremely useful not only in pass rushing but in defending the run. We will miss that as defenses figure out the strengths and weaknesses of a young DL rotation. Especially as NFC West teams get used to it. As for the WR position, I...

    Would You Rather?

I don't know where I see Scruggs in the future, maybe a less effective Bennett, maybe an option for Red Bryant's spot. I'm not that optimistic about Jesse Williams' knees holding up in Red's role but I guess we'll see.

    Would You Rather?

In a way yes, I'd rather have proven versatile outside + interior pass rushing. Of course he'll be 29. On the other hand, It might be a mistake to let Clinton McDonald go. 27 and starting to emerge. Tate and McDaniel are kind of secondary to me, if we don't keep some established interior pass...

Can Russel Wilson become an Elite pocket passer?

I swear this topic arises because the media is mad that Wilson didn't have enough of a sophomore slump despite the WR and OL injuries for their taste. After all, he made them look foolish for overlooking and height biasing him. Of course the media looks even more foolish dragging this up ad...

Seahawks sign LB Mike Taylor and TE Travis Beckum

McCoy was more used more as an H-back if I remember right. I can't see him threatening Miller simply by getting resigned.

How would you rank this offseasons FA priorities?

    1. Thomas 2. Bennett Not going any farther as it's dangerous to have an opinion atm.

    deep crossing routes

I am positive the whole L.O.B. is pretty good at baiting QBs to throw where they think they're safe.
