Poll: Will Pete let Russ cook in 2020-2021?

I don't know what Pete will do, so I can't answer the poll. Based on past history, I'd say its unlikely. However, if the question was should instead of will, then the answer would be a resounding yes.

We don't need a strong pass rush to win SB

Depending on who you listen to, there seems to be a lot of angst about the lack of pass rush. People are panicking that we still don't have Clowney and didn't sufficiently address the pass rush. But all is not lost, even without any further additions. Let me first acknowledge that obviously a...

Want Earl Back at the Right Price? He Might be Available.

Attitude aside, he's still going to want a lot of money no matter where he goes. I don't know if he's still better than Diggs, but I'd rather have Diggs at his salary than Earl at whatever he'll want. We also don't need to spend any more money on the secondary. Save that cap space for a pass...

Greg Olsen to debut tight-end focused podcast called TE1

No. He's at the age where nobody would question him if he hung up his cleats. He clearly wants to keep playing.

Could Marcell Dareus Answer Seahawks Defensive Line Depth

If they really have moved on from Clowney, I don't get why they still haven't made any other moves to bolster the d-line. Whoever they bring in, its best to get them signed now so they can fully participate in training camp and have some time to learn the playbook.

Barnwell at ESPN predicts we take a step back

First of all, whoever claims Barnwell hates the Seahawks simply isn't paying attention, and only focuses on the negative things he says. Yeah I know he's a Patriots fan, but he usually gives the Seahawks credit when warranted. He was on the Russell Wilson bandwagon early, well before any other...

    Most improved

I'm not getting my hopes up, but I'd really love for Collier to show drastic improvement. We need it.

    Surprise cut (post training camp)

For the reasons you just listed, I don't think cutting Hollister would count as a surprise.

    No Fans? No Football.

I'm with Sports Hernia on this one. Yes it would be different to season ticket holders. But to the rest of us, it would be like watching every game at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis. No HFA for anyone, but that also helps on the road. Football is still football, whether the players get a...

Redshirt Revelation Predictions? 2nd/3rd Yr Players emerge?

I'm normally optimistic about this sort of thing, but last year's rookies (aside from Metcalf) were really uninspiring. I have no confidence in any of them breaking out. Blair may have the best breakout potential, but he could have a hard time seeing the field if Diggs and McDougald stay...

    Skin of the teeth

Definitely some luck involved. That should be a 9-7 or 8-8 record. Despite the luck in wins, I thought they were also a bit unlucky in some of the losses.

Can’t listen. What did he say?

How old is everyone on here?

    39. Started loosely following the Seahawks in the early 90s, but that was something to be made fun of for in Yakima when I was in middle school. Been a die hard since 2003.

4th Round - 133rd pick Colby Parkinson TE Stanford

That concerns me. I hope they don't try to waste his talent and try to turn him into something he's not. Just let him be a receiver. They ruined Jimmy Graham this way.

    Hawks fans never learn

There was a good article posted (sorry, can't remember by whom or in what thread) about follies of draft experts ranking players based on how everyone else ranks them. Seeing rankings before evaluating players introduces biases. Talent evaluators need to come up with their own perceptions on...

    Hawks fans never learn

I strongly disagree with this. They do know a lot about football, but I think its foolish to assume they know more than all the fans. The fact that they have the job and the fans don't does not mean they are smarter. Its just a matter of the NFL being an impossible business to get into unless...

Fournette may be on Hawks radar (speculation)

Normally you’d be right. But within the context I used it, draft position matters. He’s on a rookie contract and rookies are paid according to their draft position.

    Running back depth

Not sure I follow. First you don't want to use a high draft pick on a RB, but then you'd willing give one to our rival for a RB? And that RB would make more than a draft pick.

Fournette may be on Hawks radar (speculation)

I should also point out that players have to pass a physical from the new team before they can be traded. You can't trade an injured player. By the time you could trade Penny, he'd be healthy and we'd have no need to downgrade to Fournette.
  20. E

    Running back depth

I think drafting a RB because of the current injury situation is short-sighted. You draft for the future and sign free agents for the present. We have bigger long term needs, and Penny won't be hurt forever. He may miss the first half of the season or so, but he'll be fine eventually. I...
