    Its Detroit..

You also gave up all hope of making the playoffs around week seven so maybe this one will work out, too.

My take on the current OL situation

Well, yes, teamwork is how any organization operates. What people are taking increasing issue with is the deteriorating performance. Their approach has yielded results that are, for lack of a more accute term, unacceptable. Do you disagree?

My take on the current OL situation

What is the Seahawk process in regards to the OL? Please explain.

Offensive Line Follies -- Telling GIF's from the Cards Game

To me this shows poor coaching. That Ifedi gif shows a player uncomfortable with the ZBS. Very few of those were physical man-handlings, they were players afraid of making a mistake and in the process of that... making a mistake. This should be drilled into these players by now. These breakdowns...

How many games has Nolan Frese cost the Hawks this season?

Hard to isolate Frese's contribution in many cases. Against the Cards I'd say it was edge pressure that contributed to the missed PAT. That's not Nolan's fault. Our ST blocking has been poor this year.

    Coaches aren't prepared. players aren't ready/focused

Speaking of players that aren't prepared: Jeremy Lane. He has been woeful lately. Is he in the same mold as Byron Maxwell? Get paid because you look decent when you have Sherman, Chancellor, and Thomas backing you up? He definitely isn't earning his new contract which surprises me as he looked...

    Negative vibe

Playing Detroit -> @Atlanta -> @Dallas would be ideal. No top shelf DL among them. Major concerns would be Atlanta's receivers against our depleted secondary and Dallas's OL against our suddenly meek DL. It's the playoffs though so we should expect difficulty. Regardless, go hawks.

    Coaches aren't prepared. players aren't ready/focused

I wonder if this team's poor starts are due to Bevell's play scripting? The OC usually has the first ~15 plays implemented prior to kickoff and only adjusts after that. Our opening series are usually pretty woeful, maybe we should go off-script sooner?

    Negative vibe

Yes, Pete, Bevell, and Cable did indeed bring this team its first Lombardi. Only issue is they did so when they had a cost-controlled QB. Now that they have to pay Russell their budgeting has shifted to a model that I see as ineffective. I "harp" on it because nothing is changing and the...

    Negative vibe

The state of the OL has gotten to the point of necessitating change. PC/JS have shown zero hesitancy to cut bait with players but coaches may be a different story, though there is always the case of Jeremy Bates. In my opinion there are two valid progressions: 1.) Keep Cable but increase...

Planning on hitting Carlow East for the playoff game whichever one it is. Anyone else going to be there?

This team has a deep and continually problematic flaw. Pretending it doesn't exist won't make it go away.

I've said it a million times.

The coaching is somewhat deficient. The incessant cuts aren't working yet no changes are made. Watch how often our guards throw a cut only to have the DL power through/over them. It's silly at this point. Only thing I can come up with is Cable knows his guys can't win individual matchups and...

    Silver lining?

Why would there be a silver lining? This team repeats the same mistakes in seeming perpetuity. This loss is just the latest example of falling to the same deficiencies. As good as this FO/coaching staff is they are stubborn as hell and it's hurting us.

I've said it a million times.

Yet people will continue to support this approach. I remember there was optimism around Bradley Sowell when the season started. The blind optimism is bordering on lunacy at this point.

Christian McCaffery - Seahawky or nah?

I wonder how much it would cost for McCaffery to take out a $20 or $30 million dollar insurance policy for a single game? Could Stanford foot the bill for that? That way he could play and they'd be doing right by a player with high earnings potential.

    Hey Okung

Okung fancies himself smarter than he is. He desperately tried to win one for the players in the NFL is first and foremost a business debate but failed. He represented himself and didn't serve his best interests. Sure, his overall contract number looks high but Denver isn't bound to it. Can cut...

    Is is just me or...

Just worried about the inconsistency. On any given day a legit defensive front can render this offense completely ineffective. One clunker like that in the playoffs and it's adios. Makes for uneasy times.
