Nah, Pats would have traded him last year and gotten a first for him. Also zero percent chance they re-sign Chancellor to that abomination of a contract that he's on. As far as emulating the Pats, this FO is a day late and a dollar short.
Don’t hold anything at all against Kam. What would be the basis for regarding him negatively after this? He simply signed a contract that the team offered him. I sure as hell would have signed it. He ended up hurting himself fulfilling the obligations of the contract. Tough break I suppose, but...
No way Kam retires. Even if he can't play, the ridiculous contract the FO game him has him entitled to another $12M+, so he'll at least make a cursory attempt to participate even if he has no intention of ever taking the field.
Looking at that list and our limited outlets for participation just has me in awe about how idiotic the Kam Chancellor extension was and is. Horrible contract.
Love watching this Patriots team play. They’re just superb at all levels. Listening to the whiners after the Patriots roll makes it even more enjoyable.
Just sit back, relax, and watch the greatest to ever play do his thing.
We have to redevelop the ability to run the ball consistently at all costs. Everything else we do derives from it. When was the last time we really controlled a game, as we often did in 2013-2015? We can’t play how we want if we can’t run it, so until we get there everything else is borderline moot.
If you get popped for a DUI you're either a complete moron or an asshole that only cares about yourself. Don't really care either way which one Jeremy is, as he was gone regardless.
New England is just on a different level than the rest of the league. They’ll neuter whomever they play in the AFC Championship game considering Brown is dinged up more than the Steelers are letting on. Maybe the Vikings or Saints could pose a challenge, but that’s it.
Finesse type TE. Undersized. Short arms and thin legs have him struggling to anchor as a blocker. Every time I saw him inline in Philly he was easily overwhelmed by ends and even backers.
But he does score TDs, so someone will overpay him.
Trey Burton is exactly the type of TE Seattle should avoid. As a FA TE, I'd love to kick the tires on Virgil Green. Guy is an outstanding blocker and an underrated pass catcher. That's what Seattle's scheme needs from the TE spot.
He may not be the sexiest pick, but if Schotty comes here and delivers an offense that can run the ball consistently, that's all I care about. Without a solid running game Pete's system doesn't work.
