CB Sam Shields re-signs with GB (ugh...)

The Seahawks won't let Sherman walk.

    Jaguars sign Red Bryant

    Wow, really?

    Jaguars sign Red Bryant

Teams have been able to negotiate with him since he got cut. He wasn't like a regular free agent.

No frowny face from me. Very happy for Red.

Poll: Do you think Seattle retains Michael Bennett?

I'm surprised by the response here. He didn't necessarily turn down the Hawks' offer. He tabled it so he could test the market. They let Mebane and Red do the same thing before coming back and playing them market value. I think the Hawks will do the same thing with Bennett.

Seahawks expected to release DE Red Bryant

As much as I love Red, he's not nearly as essential as our head coach.

Seahawks expected to release DE Red Bryant

Pete said a couple weeks ago they would have a much better feel for their defensive line rotation going into next year. I'm sure he knew Red (and likely Clemons) would be gone when he made that comment.

Hilarious Manziel/RW comparison from a scout:

http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/packers-draft-outlook-b99210557z1-246732851.html "He's a better passer than the guy (Russell Wilson) who won the Super Bowl, and he's got a better arm. Here comes the pressure, a guy breaks open and he finds the receiver. Does he have a gun? No. But he...

    Johnny Football knows what's up

Well, it looks like it won't happen. The Rams still feel Bradford is their franchise QB, and he won't fall to the Cardinals.

I'm erring on the side of Bennett being gone.

I think a lot of you guys are overestimating what Bennett will command on the open market. The Hawks will have the ability to create the cap space to re-sign Bennett and Tate while keeping the LOB together, if they so choose.

    Would You Rather?

I think Bennett's coming back. They'll create the cap space necessary to keep him. They can do that while also resigning Tate. It's not an either/or situation.

Bennett not open to home town discount

I don't get that point of view. Bennett didn't diss Seattle at all. He just didn't box himself in when it comes time to negotiate. Remember, he also said his preference is to stay with Seattle. I think the Hawks will create the cap space necessary to keep him, and this will all be a moot point.

How often does the team with the "storyline" lose the SB?

I'm sick of our fans calling for a conspiracy before the game even starts. In case you haven't noticed, there have been a ton of storylines involving the Hawks this week, more so than the Broncos, whom outside of Peyton are a giant yawn. It's also clear that more of our fans will be in the...

    Media, leave Marshawn alone

I don't think it's that serious. I don't think it's a distraction for Lynch or the team and on Sunday this will all be forgotten.

Is anyone else annoyed by some of the SB predictions?

Only if you're a typical insecure Seattle sports fan should you be bothered by something like this. This team thrives on being doubted.
