    Who stays and who goes?

I don't really see a reason to bring Smith back. Not sure what his minimum vet salary is, but guaranteed a rookie would be cheaper. Spend a 5th, 6th, or 7th rounder on a backup QB to develop on the cheap. Would actually like to see Jalen Hurts, but not sure how high he is projected to go.

Bill cowher I’m the hall of fame?!?

I think the craziness of Cowher being in the Hall is that Jimmy Johnson is JUST NOW getting in the HOF too. WTF? Why wasn't he in there already? Both had on air announcements today, which was kind of cool, but JJ should have been in there a long time ago.

Bright spots of the season and for the future!

Pete needs to take the offseason to reinvent himself, ala McCarthy. I also think he needs to learn the lesson Dan Quinn learned mid-season, which is to be more hands off and trust the coordinators. As to bright spot, I actually think there are not too many holes. The team has 10 draft picks...

    Draft postions

2 dline, at least. Interior and exterior. A tight end. Some more depth in the defensive backfield. I'm not necessarily on the RB bandwagon. No team keeps enough running backs to weather your top 3 getting injured. Not sure about WR either, though I think the Hawks have 10 picks so I think...

    Niners or Vikes?

I wouldn't mind seeing Russ eating a turkey leg on the 9ers logo at midfield!

Should IR be lifted for Super Bowl?

My, very hazy recollection, is that the inactives came about as a change to IR rules. Also came with an expanded roster. So if you go back in time and take away the inactives, you also take the roster back to 48.

Should IR be lifted for Super Bowl?

I have no idea if this would apply anything more than the rare exception, but should the league allow IR'd players to come back for the Super Bowl (if healthy, obviously)? This isn't really an argument from a competitiveness standpoint but would be more about putting the best product on the...

McCown tore hamstring off the bone

I remember seeing him limping but it was on plays he hadn't been hit so it obviously happened before it was noticed by the TV cameras. Would be curious to see the play it likely happened.

    Niners or Vikes?

I would like to beat Sherman, but I think Paul Allen's sister raising the 12 flag would be a bigger deal.

    Wentz 'heroic' for reporting concussion

I've just seen the edited replays of the game that cut out all in between plays stuff.

McCown tore hamstring off the bone

I haven't seen the part where he was needing to be supported by his OL, but I did see at least some of the plays after the Clowney hit. But maybe it wasn't the Clowney hit that gave him a concussion. But the larger point is the he was replaced by Files and the team improved and won a Super...

    Wentz 'heroic' for reporting concussion

Pretty sure McCown didn't self-report his torn hamstring.

McCown tore hamstring off the bone

And contrasted with Wentz essentially pulling himself out of the game.

    Wentz 'heroic' for reporting concussion

He was never checked was he? Losing Avril to the protocol is why Seattle lost. Keeping Edelman in the game certainly helped the Pats.

    Wentz 'heroic' for reporting concussion

Not true, really. Nobody stopped Wentz and checked him out. He self-reported.

Only 1 expert picked Packers over Seahawks @ CBS

Looking at all four games, this has to look like the most likely to be an upset so it make sense for people not wanting to pick the favorites in all 4 games.

    Thank-You Seahawks!

You're talking about vibrating and this isn't in the shack? WTF?

    Wentz 'heroic' for reporting concussion

I know we are focused on the Packers and maybe this belongs in the NFL Forum, but since it happened in the Seahawks game and involved quite a bit of news during and after the game, I thought I'd put it here. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/284 ... concussion Thoughts? I don't expect...

UW hires John Donovan as OC.

That seems odd given the trend in the NFL is to go with the college spread offense. So the pros are going college and colleges are going pro?
