Knowing JS, I would see Brown+a 4th/5th being more realistic, especially considering once again that next year's draft is DEEP at WR
If he does it for a 6/7th, it'll be highway robbery just like the Clowney trade.
The main question is would he stay healthy through that 3/4 of a season compared to the price we pay for him? If so, I'm on board. If not, I'll gladly swipe left and take my chances elsewhere.
I would be ecstatic and overjoyed for this to happen. Even at my own expense, I have so much love for the Seahawks that I'd be happy to be proven wrong for my home team to be recognized for the amazing players that they are.
It doesn't really matter, the media is still aboard the Mahomes hype train for the most part and Wilson (naturally) is over-looked and ignored. I'd love to be proven wrong and eat crow.
I don't disagree with you, but do you really think the fact that Mahomes won last year doesn't play a huge part in him winning this year?
Edit: Even after his last loss, people are still considering him one of (if not THE) front-runner as a QB
Sadly, it will probably take a blow to Mahomes for Wilson to win MVP this year, because shiny new toys are the status quo. The only other person outside of QB to challenge Wilson is McCaffrey
How about we wait a few years to see if Mahomes is consistent on a long-term basis before we claim he's "better" than Wilson. I seem to recall everyone thinking Rawls was the next beast mode until his injury that cut that conversation short.
I said it before and I'll say it again: Clowney will sign an extension here during the off-season, and hopefully it will be a team-friendly deal considering how much he clearly loves this organization
I already posted, but I'm going to post again. F*ck Mathews, he's a dirty player that has no place in today's NFL and HE knows it but complains every chance he gets when a justified flag gets thrown because of him. F*ck you Mathews.
I don't feel sorry for him at all. He lives for dirty cheap shots and he got what he deserved. I don't expect him to learn his lesson though, maybe it will take a Burfict level of punishment for him to realize just because he CAN doesn't mean he SHOULD be an asshat. F*ck you, Clay.
I'm going to say this now.
The Chiefs didn't make it to the Superbowl, yet Mahomes was the face of Madden. It seems to me as if Wilson just has to beat Mahomes and every other QB in ratings at least by one or more to get MVP
