How many times are we allowed action green

    Fumblitis

I agree with your second point, but not your first or third. The reason his other hand was not securing the ball at the moment the DB latches on and gains the advantage is because that hand is on the ground so he can regain his balance to fight for more yards. If your saying his hand should on...

    Fumblitis

There's honestly not much more that DK could have done on his fumble. Ball is high and tight, had previously switched it to the closest arm to the sideline. Really the only reason the DB was able to get the ball out is because of a .2 second window where DK flexes his arms out to balance himself...

    Ruminations on the 49ers Game.

This might be a very unpopular opinion, but I am fine with Taylor going forward. Nickel CB is one of the easiest positions to have a bad game at, and I am very snake-bitten with the prospect of "the grass is greener" at that position. I love Blair, but he would not be the answer at that...

    Shaq Griffin as a DE

For sure it will probably be figured out, but then again keeping the RB in the backfield is one less underneath route our linebackers need to deal with, and those have gouged us for big yards in the past. Not necessarily saying they should stick with it, but if it was their intention, not a...

    Shaq Griffin as a DE

I noticed something during the game, started to formulate a theory, wanted to see what you guys thought. Literally every single snap, Shaq simple ran full speed as fast as he could towards the tackles outside shoulder. Almost no swim moves, hand fighting, or any other sort of pass rush...

Amazing Win (Despite Some Negative Nellies)

I think replay has led us to believe games are called more badly than they were in previous years. Human eyes can only do so much, and it's not like the NFL training for ref's is worse than it used to be. I guarantee you the old refs had just as many blunders. It's just that they couldn't be...

    Malik Turner>David Moore

^This^ We should not expect uber-consistent performances from our back up WR's. Each game they are going to flash differently. I can pretty much guarantee you Moore is going to have a similar game to this one from Turner and vice versa by the time the season is over.

    The Long Game

Many of us, myself included, question Pete's seemingly unending loyalty to some players and coaches. He has his philosophy and sticks to it, and generally as long as your a player that buys into it, you're here for the long run and you know Pete is going to have you back. This can cause...

Is Ansah as bad as advertised?

So here's the thing. Ansah definitely has not held up to his end of the deal, that much I definitely agree with. However some of these articles and opinions seem to be fueled by a lot of misconceptions/tape that simply doesn't exist. There is a field gulls article in particular which...

    Potential Rookie of the Year?

He's going to have to put together more consistent games back to back if I am going to put him in the category, but I am a fan of his and hope he does.

The D, what are the problems?

I don't agree that Taylor is awful. Taylor has been pretty good in coverage most games he has been active, it has just been his tackling that has been suspect at times. Which honestly is a trade off I would take on a nickel corner any day.

Would this defense be better with Kris Richard?

I'm a firm believer that the grass is not always greener on the other side. This is 75% lack of talent. I'm not saying Norton shouldn't shoulder some of the blame, but you give him the players that Richard had and you have different results this season than we have seen so far, I guarantee you that.

    Jacob Hollister

I think Hollister and Willson are a very good combo to have. They are both cheap and reliable. Willson is a blocking beast and Hollister is coming into his own as a pass catcher.

The D, what are the problems?

#1 We need to stop this 3 linebacker experiment and go into nickel coverage when the situation calls for it. #2 We need less telegraphed blitzes. My mother could predict when we are blitzing based on the situation. #3 We need our D-Line to create more pressure because it results in us blitzing...

Trading Penny would be a huge mistake

Penny needs to be more consistent, unfortunately we can't really ask that of him however until he gets more touches. As a first round pick though I do expect him to be giving a little more fight to Carson to pull away some of those carries. Overall though, jury is out for me until he gets...

so not an x and o guy but for defense 2nd half

I don't really know if it's so much as a pass as much as it is really difficult to judge what share of the blame goes where when it is very established how much of puppets PC's coordinators are. I honestly don't think the game would have looked much different if Quinn had been calling it or...

Some of you really don't understand how Pete operates

Although I am not opposed to that, for this specific game our passing game wasn't really having a ton of success unless it was a broken play to Lockett, even in the first half. Almost every positive pass play occurred after Wilson broke out of the pocket and was at least a few reads in. The...
