    Bears get Ben Johnson

The author could be a disgruntled Lions fan but the article isn't a glowing endorsement of Ben Johnson - https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/ben-johnsons-messy-detroit-exit-why-the-washington-commanders-made-the-right-call/ar-AA1xDLDJ?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=9197bd06cf1c4fb9a8e89f360c864de6&ei=13

Five possible destinations for Geno Smith

For me, 2022 is the outlier year for Geno. If he can reach that again it would be great. He threw for 30 tds that season. So far it’s been the outlier relative to that specific statistic.

    Commies vs Lions

All OCs make dumb calls. Johnson just did on that trick playcall.

Apparently Ben Johnson loves Sam Howell

Ben Johnson is overrated. What a dumb playcall to have a WR throw a pass. Looks like the Lions aren't going to the SB this season.

    Commies vs Lions

I'm not a fan of Howell either but he is younger than Smith and still has time to develop. I hated that trade for Howell.

Apparently Ben Johnson loves Sam Howell

If the goal is to play to the level of Geno Smith, then the bar is very low. Howell is young enough to develop above an average QB standard. After 12 years in football, if a said has trouble reading defenses, he's not a bar I would want anyone to strive for.

    Thank you Tyler Lockett!!!

Tyler's dad was drafted by the Chiefs and played for a few years with them. If he is let go by the Seahawks, I can see him ending his career in KC.

Five possible destinations for Geno Smith

    There's a 6th destination - retirement

    Commies vs Lions

It's not but Geno does it more regularly than most.

    Chiefs / Texans

Stroud was sacked 8 times. Did the Texans OL get mugged by the Seahawk OL? What a crap performance in their biggest game of the season to date.

Goff just pulled a Geno special....turnover in the red zone.

    New OC options

Ken Dorsey is also someone who has a connection to Leslie Frazier. Leslie was the DC in 2022 with the Bills while Dorsey was the OC. Bills had the #2 ranked offense (points for) that season.

    New OC options

Kubiak has a impressive bio and track record. Couple him at OC with Fraley as Asst HC- Offense and OL, it has a making of an upgraded offense coaching staff. https://www.neworleanssaints.com/team/coaches-roster/klint-kubiak

    MacDonald riding with Geno

Geno is more like one of the guys. Gets along with other players, etc. But when it comes to leadership he just doesn't have it. As a QB, you have to be the leader on offense. Not sit on a bench all alone when things aren't going your way. He's not the type who can rally the troops when things...

Hawks Planning to Interview Thomas Brown (Bears Interim Coach) for OC

    New OC options

Another former OC who has ties to Harbaugh is Pep Hamilton. The Pats interviewed him for their HC opening - https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/patriots-interviewed-pep-hamilton-for-head-coach-on-tuesday

    New OC options

It seems like the same path followed when Shane Waldron was chosen as OC. Don't want to walk down that road again.

    New OC options

He doesn't seem like a good fit. I'm not sold on Bieniemy either. Just pointing out the connections and why it wouldn't be surprising to me if he was on the interview list. At least he has experience coaching running backs, which is more than I can say for Jake Peetz, who has been a passing game...
