The 2 remaining home games are tough, but for example the Vikings - Cards gave them all they could handle in Minnesota and the Hawks beat those Cards. I know that's not an exact science but we should be in the ball park against them
I like to think we can 3 more to get to 10-7. If those 3 wins include at least Arizona or LA that should mean the division. The thing I like is if the D continues to play like this and stays healthy we should be in every game
Considering how surprisingly unsuccessful the goal-line fade is to someone of DK's size and strength, I wouldn't mind that play being shot into the sun either.
Funny part about that 3rd down catch and run that set up the short 4th down, in a weird way it may have helped the Hawks. Let's say the Jets throw incomplete on 3rd down and are 4th and forever. With more than 2 min left (I think) and 2 timeouts they probably punt and the Hawks have the ball...
Of the 3 TDs given up, first one only happened cause of the face mask. 2nd one was a short field. Third was a kick return. Once they stopped getting Jobe matched up one on one with Adams, the Jets got nothing going
Heard someone talking the Eagles a few weeks back where they talked about the Eagles O-line coach, how long he's been there, and how good the line has been during his tenure. Could that be as big a part of what the Hawks have been missing?
I texted a buddy right after the game "dare I say the MacDonald D is coming together?" Was the Cards running attack one of the best in the league? I know Sanchez kept saying they weren't running enough on the broadcast but it seemed to me like whenever they did they ended up 2nd and long
You are correct. Her Hawk fandom originates from her father who is from the Seattle area so she's been a Hawks fan all her life. Also a Mariner and Huskies fan. I think sometimes her fandom causes her to be pretty pessimistic about them
She was one of the big proponents of hiring Mike...
I have always thought that the very thing that made that group what they were was helped by what you described. They had that chip on their shoulder and attitude. But that was also what caused it to fall apart as fast as it did. The more I hear about that locker room now the more I understand...
Confidence it was in the same location but that Lions win last night reminds me of the Hawks win there in 2013. Both cases the team was not sharp, especially on O, but hung in there and got some big plays late to pull it out. Lions didn't get as dramatic a play as Sherm picking off the pass...
Mid 80s for me. Where I grew up up (small town, Saskatchewan Canada) we didn't get US channels then, and the Cdn networks would only show NFL after CFL season ended in late Nov. My first years as a NFL fan I would only see the playoff contenders at the time. A friend of mine's dad told me his...
The only postiive I can think is I think there has been the odd time where Geno has tried to force it to DK even if it's not there. Understandable since he's our #1 but this might cause Geno to spread it around even more
This is really getting in the weeds but at the end of that loss in LA last year when lots of questions were raised about that draw play vs passing to make it a shorter kick, wasn't it Jones who made the play on ZC to limit the play? I seem to remember hearing after from the Hawks that it was...
