Charbonnet is out likely until December and any of the other running backs on either team are all unproven.
Where do you get that Charbonet is out til December? Latest I've heard is October, and recent actions during minicamp say he may be ahead of scedule.

Adams won't touch last year's total IMO, but opinions are just opinions...
Adams did not have any training camp time with Stafford last year. It is was all Garoppolo . He might even eclipse last years numbers in terms of total production

No knowledge at all. I was just going by usual timelines. Late October would be optimistic, no?

Yes, Kittle and CMC are likely hall of famers. There is no universe where they will play like hall of famers next year, though.

And touchdowns are transient and situational year-to-year. Adams won't touch last year's total IMO, but opinions are just opinions...
Take the 49ers out of the equation so you don't think I am bias

Could be. I just tend to be biased against old men at the skills positions. The cliffs tend to be sudden.

Your ranking there is valid and can easily be argued for. However, I watched a ranking last year where they drew visual gaps between position groups on a chalkboard (i.e., how much better was #1 vs #2 and so on). I thought that was much more informative than simple rankings. From that POV, I can say that the Rams = Seahawks at WR. I can say that the Rams = Seahawks at TE (though Barner outproduced each of the Rams tight ends last year). I'd probably put the Rams above the Seahawks at RB because Price hasn't had a carry yet, though I don't think Kyren Williams is all that and it wouldn't be a big gap between the teams.

Aside, how much of this is really QB and OC driven? What would these rankings look like if you put the current Seahawks WRs, TEs, and RBs with the 2025 Rams? From that POV, the one guy that is outplaying his situation and head/shoulders above his peers is McBride.

Given the various offseason moves, it seems perfectly reasonable that Houston vs Seahawks vs Rams defense is a pick em.

It is likely that the outcome the bet will rest on which of the off season additions proves to be the best complement to three existing defenses, who are already great.

The Rams defense ranked #10 in PPG and #17 in yards allowed in 2025. Their two new CBs along with Garrett (the incremental upgrade over Verse) are doing some pretty heavy speculative lifting to put the Rams in the conversation for #1, though.

Not sure where you're getting your information, because the Texans D finished not just in the top 5, but in the top 2.

The Seahawks D finished #1 in points per game at 17.2. The Texans D finished #2 in points per game at 17.4. Both were very, very good, and only separated by the tiniest of margins.

Also, the Texans D finished #1 in yards per game at 277.2. The Seahawks D finished #6 in yards per game at 285.6.

Of course, Seahawks fans are probably going to say our D is the best. Texans fans are probably going to say their D is the best. Everyone else is pretty much splitting hairs. Anyone claiming that either one is clearly significantly better than the other is probably basing that on very little other than bias and homerism. It certainly isn't some wild, outlandish take to think that the Texans D might be ever so slightly better than ours this season.
Yeah, they were number 2. I got the wrong info. I still don't care because we beat them up pretty bad last year

Largely because of a weakness at CB, which left them vulnerable both against passing and running attacks. They addressed this weakness in a big way.

I’m certainly not going to get into the debate of whether Garrett is anything more than an incremental improvement over Verse, but I think we can all agree that he isn’t a downgrade.

Of course the Rams have to prove that the addition of McDuffie and Watson is the answer to catapulting them to the top, but at least they have added proven commodities.

Do the Seahawks not similarly have to prove that the addition of Clark and Neil, who have never even taken a snap at this level, is sufficient to offset the loss of Woolen and Bryant.

While I’m pretty convinced that our secondary will be better with these changes, I certainly wouldn’t say it’s a sure thing.

If we are going with the team that has the least to prove, then I guess Mina was right, and the Texans are most proven and likely to be #1

Colin Cowturd is basically Skip Bayless2.0. The more you listen to their verbal regurgitation, the more your IQ drops.

She has the Texans D number one after we lost two starters in the secondary.

Woolen is good but not the right fit for Macdonalds defense. Bryant was good but so is Okada. We drafted Bud Clark and Julian Neal. These 2 are ABSOLUTE ball hawks and are gonna take our D to another level. The Texans didn't even finish top 5 last year in Defense, and they're not even gonna be in the top 5 this year either. Just like the Rams, they'll be in the top 10 for defense, maybe. I'm not sold on wither one of those teams defensively.
lost one starter in the secondary and Okada played very well in Bryant's absence.

Maybe, but #17 in yards allowed doesn't seem like just personnel. There's a little bit of deficiency in scheming as well. They were 19th in total defense in Shula's first year at DC in 2024 so he hasn't even produced a top-half defense yet. It just seems unlikely that a couple new CBs gets you from #17 to #1.

Kittle and CMC are future hall of famers. Charbonnet is out likely until December and any of the other running backs on either team are all unproven. Tonges is as good as any of your starting TEs

Even if you take the 49ers out of the question, the Cardinals TEs and running backs are better than the Seahawks

Adams lead the league in red zone touchdowns last year

this is a good video that breaks down the groups

I thought Kittle was out as well. Tongus didn't look so good in the playoffs and CMC, yeah Hall of Fame bound, but, dang he didn't look so good out there either. Hard to say about Arizona RB.. he hasn't played in the NFL as of yet but, the TE, he's a weapon.

Fair enough. I think they schematically had to adjust for a weak secondary, and gave up a ton of yards because of it. They still did well in scoring and turnovers.

I feel like their additions are bigger than just shoring up a weak secondary. They will allow them to run a more effective scheme.

Of course, we can’t ignore Denver in all of this. They probably have a solid claim as pre-season favorites for #1 defense.

Denver for sure. We'll see on the Rams defense. I mean none of us are rooting for their success so it's all cool. McDuffie lost 6 games to a hamstring in 2022 and went out with a hyperextended knee last December. If he's the difference between #17 and a top-five defense (let alone #1), that's a lot of eggs in that one basket. I love that their strategy of an all-in season isn't ours.

Seahawks knowledge learned away from .NET will lower your IQ, but you already knew that, didn't you?
