Wow that's a lot of faith in guys that weren't even considered draftable. A 4 year starter not being an upgrade over wet behind the ears long shot UDFA's? SMH.

For a day 3 pick I would do it for sure. If he plays great being motivated in a contract year, that's great for the Hawks. Then after that year if he gets a big offer we can't afford the comp pick formula can help recoup some of the draft capital lost.

Thibodeaux has been very unproductive in his time with the Giants, so I'm not sure he's worth investing resources in, especially since there's limited team control with him.

11.5 sacks in the 2023 season. Giants aren’t the greatest team either. In this defense I think he would do very well.

Pass rush is a position I feel you can never have too many of. Worst case it keeps guys fresh.

For a 4th/5th round pick, Seattle would get a solid player at the cost of a draft pick that could be used on a player that might not even make it through training camp and get cut. Even for one year it's not a bad option, if he earns an extension even better.

Agree that Hall & KT would be a good tandem baseline for 2027, + whomever they add in the draft next year.

Ideally KT would be willing to restructure his $15m to reduce cap hit this year...possibly adding void years. If he performs and they want to sign him, they can restructure his deal for the long term. If they don't resign him, then we have ~10-12m in dead cap next year.

That is kind of spot on, if the rumor is true then its likely why they kicked the can down the road. They signed Fowler, if he doesn’t work out and in case of an emergency they’ll break draft picks out for KT. Realistically, if they were 100% on him as a player, then you aren’t willing to wait just for the right price especially the longer you do wait, the longer it will take him to catch up to your scheme and gel within the defense. But he does make tremendous sense next off-season and him being buried on NYG’s depth chart hurts his market value.

This seems like a no-brainer. And Fowler shouldn't play into it. Nothing bad about having both and it's not like we're super committed to him anyway. Kind of like signing MVS last year didn't lock him into the final roster.

Yeah, I was being a bit extreme with that take. But I am intrigued with a few of our developmental pass rushers and would like to see what they could do if given the opportunity with live game reps.

JS did protect his compensatory picks by not making really any Free Agent signings. Which is why, to me, it doesn't make sense to now trade one of those picks for a back up pass rusher. Why not just sign a pass rusher in this past free agency?

I am a big fan of KT but I am not sure the Giants are willing to move on from him. For the Seahawks he would be given an opportunity to learn the system and shine at some point.
