NGL to me I think it's a bit of a overpay, but at least we have him under contract for a few more years and it was less than what Mafe got.

Sometimes you gotta showcase the young talent that if you do things the right way and buy in, you can get paid too!
This was not too much of a price and it further solidifies that Seattle is a team that drafts and develops talent over trading future assets for an “all in” one year type approach.

42 is a hell of a lot less than 60.
$14/Yr seems pretty good considering what Mafe got.
And it's an extension, so less per year over the remainder of his deal.

Sacks are an incredibly overrated metric. Pressures and setting the edge is what really matters

We are seeing a real contrast in styles right now with the way the Hawks and Rams are going after the championship. Rams are making the big swings and going all in. Hawks are picking and choosing, looking at their in house guys and deciding where to spend their money. It would be absolutely delicious to see the fall out if the Hawks way won out and they beat the Rams again this year.
Heck even the Niners beating the Rams without the Niners making a bunch of splashy moves would be funny

Money seems reasonable, hopefully he becomes more consistent. Advanced stats seem to highly favor him despite it feeling like he disappears a lot. My initial comment compared him to Bruce Irvin, but edited after thinking it over and realizing that may have been erroneous.

Here we are extended our young talent while the Rams are dishing theirs for old players. While they may be competitive with us for the next couple years... 3-5 years they will be getting owned by us.
