Picking a cultural integrator is hard. Guessing a replacement integrator as an outsider is difficult to impossible.

Following is a very limited sample of the experience and insight that has been lost with the exit of Teasley ......

Within his role, Teasley oversees football operations while working collaboratively with President of Football Operations/General Manager John Schneider in all aspects of player acquisition via the draft, free agency and trade proposals. Helping manage the development of the current roster with the club's Performance team, Teasley helps with the implementation of the use of data within the scouting process, and manages the ongoing communication between the scouting, research, and analytics departments. He continues to be involved in the club's draft process throughout and evaluate talent from NFL rosters and practice squads throughout the year.

I was curious what his role was. Thank you for this.

It will be interesting to see if the Vikings can get on top of the quarterback situation now. Not alot of more important things than that. Also, will the new GM make his mark? Or will he simply blend into the Vikings power structure as a "Yes Man". There was some reason they didn't get a more known commodity.

It's actually not that far-fetched as it may seem. JS just won exec of the year, and Teasley has been on the Seahawks staff for 14 years being groomed by John, 3 of which was as Assistant GM. Also, with the last few drafts being nailed by John and Co, it actually looks like a genius hire instead of getting a big-name commodity that's been passed around the league too many times.

This is a very smart move by the Vikings, and it benefits us as well with additional picks. Win-win.

Everyone is excited to pick up the draft picks, as am I, but I think the loss of Nolan is substantial.

After doing a little research, it seems he's had a lot to do with all the success in the front office. He was a big part of the culture here.
