I was doing pre-algebra and reading Encyclopedia Brown in 7th grade.

Although I don’t think IMG existed back then.

Seahawk fans that follow Cohn don't hate him. It's hilarious how he beats up on the 49ers (so yeah, THEIR fans hate him), but his takes aren't take far off, really.

I love his final line. "As long as Seattle exists -- in this iteration -- nobody's Super Bowl window is open, because it's their time."

LOL...uh...yes they are.

49er fans don't hate him because he's negative. They hate him because its schtick. It isn't real. Its only done for clicks.

Its also not just fans that hate him. The players and coaches hate him too. He just says stuff to get attention.

There is a history to this. He learned this from his dad, Lowell Cohn. Same schtick. Only difference is Lowell did it in print before Social Media.

You guys are free to enjoy some dude on internet saying stuff about a hated rival, but don't mistake it for truth. If he stumbles into truth it was an accident.

Well.......it clearly worked, Marv. He got your attention 🤘

Of course...that's the point. I don't read or watch any of his stuff, but I know what he does. Opposing fans ALWAYS quote him like its the first time I've seen it. Like they are unearthing a hidden gem or something.

Now he has an army of "Influencers" that do the same thing he does, just without access to the team.

Its just an engagement model. He's not always wrong, but his intent isn't to be right. Its to be controversial which leads to clicks.

Uhm I don't know about all that. He's a great journalist and even chimes in to several Hawkblogger podcasts with Nemhauser. Cohn calls it like he sees it. He's a good reporter. When he called out John Lynch for reaching on draft picks. It takes brass balls to call Lynch out. Lynch turned bright red in embarrassment but again, this is the same guy that drafted a kicker in the 3rd and traded 3 first for Trey "stinky booty" Lance and traded up for Reuben Sandwich Foster. John Lynch has been a disaster as a GM you feel me? 200

Speaking of "unearthing"...uhhh, nevermind, I won't do it again.

Yeah...he also drafted Kittle, Warner, Greenlaw, Purdy, Deebo, and a host of others along with trading for Trent Williams and CMC.

Cohn's not wrong about De'Zhaun Stribling. Questionable pick at 33. Projected to go #90.
