Every year, they sign players so that they have a certain minimum number of bodies in each position group. So I say he starts out as "camp filler" but with those creds he has a decent chance to break the 53, if we keep 4 TE on the roster.

One of the talking points coming out of the draft was about how the tight end class got overdrafted as a result of how the Rams/Seahawks were using tight ends. This was probably much more coming out of the Rams heavy usage of 13-personnel. I'm not saying he'll make the roster, but it's probably not an accident that he's a tight end and represents the kind of body they'll need through offseason minicamps and training camp.

Nice signing, Bryant's best football is ahead of him.
Competition for Saubert & Kallerup, insurance for Arroyo's availability. Also Arroyo is more of a WR and with that they could keep 4 TE's in name

Fleury will have no shortage of options at his fingertips. A little worried about our practice squad getting raided and think we'll see a couple of our cuts performing around the league this season.
John is far from done at this point.
