At least they made the figure to be accurate: that seems like the posture he had right before taking a sack.

I remember there being some weird, false hype about the guy. Also Dave Krieg was never your archetypical QB with his relatively short height and hand size. It seemed like if we drafted somebody 6'2" or taller they were an automatic lock to be better than Dave.

Kelly Stouffer had moxie (remember the TD throw after he broke his nose?), and if Behring hadn't fired Knox I think he could have been a good QB for us. He went 3-3 his rookie year filling in for Krieg. Not stellar, but better than anyone's record under Flores.

He is absolutely underrated. When I say that, I don't mean that he was a hall of famer in the rough....but he was a much better prospect than history has labelled him.

And he got his biggest shot in 92' after Krieg was gone. Worst offensive line I have ever seen and the worst offense I have ever seen. Under 9 ppg. Gelbaugh, McGuire and Stouffer were getting absolutely hammered that season. Waste of a 1st round pick though, just like McGuire.

Might need to merge this thread with the most misspelled Seahawks thread. Its Dan McGwire not McGuire.

Stouffer was not our pick he was a Cardinal, we traded Easley for him, that's when all hell broke loose between us and him, the physical showed his Kidneys were starting to fail because of the meds he was taking for pain.

After the golden years of the 80's, this was the beginning of the dark & bleak 90's. The fan's that stood by the Hawks during that time are a different breed than the "12's" that cry about a winning season and can't make enough noise at Lumen field.

I knew he wasn't our pick. But I was pretty sure we traded a 1st for him. I don't remember trading Easley for him. I couldn't even image Easley in another uniform.

They refused the trade after the physical, we then re negotiated it.
