His crowning post career achievement will be the Seahawks ring of honor in a few years…that is if he hasn’t already screwed that up as well. I’m thinking the organization didn’t take too kindly of him trying to get the winningest coach and GM of all time fired behind closed doors.
There's no way he doesn't get in the ROH. He could get cut from a Power Puff football team and still make the ROH.

When he left here, I felt that he was on the bubble for a gold jacket, that he needed either another ring or a league MVP. IMO Russell senses that, too, which is why he's reluctant to retire.

I don't think it's just Russ. I think that the pay disparity between QBs and the rest of the NFL can potentially create friction in the locker room.

Also, how can that much money and success not change you? Look how it changed Aaron Rodgers too. He was once a likeable guy.

In a lofty place tanglin' with Satan over history.
That's a fair opinion. There was a definite and distinct change in Russell's personality after he married Ciera. He went from the wholesome, high school sweetheart, girl next door type in his first marriage to a slutty, gang banger skank in his second wife.

But it doesn't erase what he did for our team from 2012-2015.
"Slutty, gang banger skank"? Lol. I would hate to break the news to you about some of y'all sweet white daughters 😂

I don't think he'll be in the ROH while Schneider is GM.

Here's my guess - the next owner will be the one to decide to put him in, and will use it as a promotional gimmick.

He'll definitely make the ROH. It'll be hyped up in the media. It'll be a nice night: fans will cheer, but the overall reception will be outright tepid compared to when the other LOB era guys get their turn. It's not going to be what he dreamed of, which unfortunately for him, is the consequences of his own actions.

Except as part of the "group of team officials," Schneider does not have veto authority over a decision on who gets admitted to the ROH. Besides, JS would have to be awfully damn petty to hold a grudge for that long.

Seattle Seahawks

Name: Ring of Honor

How voting works: A group of team officials makes the call via an informal selection process. There are no specific requirements for seasons spent with the team, Pro Bowls or years since retirement. The Seahawks' ring of honor has 15 members, including two coaches (Mike Holmgren, Chuck Knox), a broadcaster (Pete Gross) and former owner Paul Allen. Running back Shaun Alexander is one of 11 players in the ROH and the most recent inductee. That group also includes wide receiver Steve Largent, safety Kenny Easley, defensive tackle Cortez Kennedy and left tackle Walter Jones -- all Pro Football Hall of Famers who have had their numbers retired by the
Seahawks.

Bro come on…if you equate money to problems that’s a you issue. Good Lord. I’d take Russ’s stressful problematic life anytime…he simply sabotaged an incredible legacy. It’s unexplainable. The friction in the locker room came from the person creating it. Nothing else.

I agree with you. I'm just saying money and success changes some people, not everyone. Russ seemed like a good guy before he started making a lot of money and believing that he was god's gift to football.

New York, let's slice! 🍕 🍎
ESPN Radio was having a field day with this news, mocking both Wilson and the Giants. On Freddie and Harry, they were saying that it was proof that the Giants are tanking this year, or doing "the march for Arch."

Could still get cut mid way through year which is a likely scenario. I think the lobster thief beats him out for the game 1 job regardless
