George Foreman, a two-time heavyweight champion, Olympic gold medalist and Hall of Fame boxer, died Friday at age 76.

I can’t and won’t get into any details but ….
George lived in the area that I’ve worked for the last 14 or so years.
My colleagues responded to his home on this day.
I’ve personally been to his home on multiple occasions for various emergencies.
I won’t claim that I knew him well, or that he was a friend.
I will state clearly that any contact that I’ve ever had with him, his family members, or people at his home have been
good experiences save for whatever needs they had at the moment.
I know firsthand that he loved his people, and enjoyed his privacy.
I suspect that “his people” are countless.
Much like Mohamed Ali, he touched many souls in a positive way, in spite of the violence/combat sport that made him
famous.
In my opinion, the world is a lesser place without him.
