The Hawks should target at least one of these FAs:

Milton Williams, Ronnie Stanley and possibly Khalil Mack.

Depending on their draft plan of course but I think Williams would be a nice add if not too expensive. Stanley is getting up there but he's still a solid OT. Possibly Mack but he's 34 and obviously on the back end of his career but if cheap it could be at least a depth move.

I know MM likes to have 4 edge players. We currently have 3 assuming Nwosu comes back, and I suspect he will. There are so many edge players in this draft I think they go that route. I think they take edge pretty high too. I think Mack will just be too expensive, but he still has a lot in the tank so you could do worse.

Not sure there's a huge need for Stanley.

Williams had a nice season but I don't see them going after him, I think Jarran Reed as a much cheaper option is the route they take, but you can never have too many D lineman.

I would target these guys:

LB: Ernest Jones (re sign)
Center: Drew Dalman
WR: Marquise Brown
DT: Jarran Reed (re sign)
CB: Kristian Fulton
WR: Christian Kirk
WR: Dyami Brown
DT: Poona Ford
CB: Jourdan Lewis
CB: Stephon Gilmore
TE: Juwan Johnson
LB: Bobby Wagner

Definitely resign Jones and Reed.

I'd be interested in Dalman, Fulton and Lewis (UM).

Wish Hawks had never let Ford go.

Hard pass on Hollywood, BWags, Kirk, Brown, Gilmore and Johnson.

Why would we be targeting OT? It's guard and center that would need to be addressed. I doubt we splurge in free agency. We never do that.

Our RT situation is far from settled. I'm not saying they go get all three of those guys but I would kick the tires on an old but still decent Khalil Mack if he were cheap.

In house, our priority has got to be Ernest Jones IV. Additionally, I think Jarran Reed should be back as well. We could also look into Roy Robertson-Harris on a better deal (as some others mentioned in the thread on his release).

From New Orleans, I'd like us to consider bringing in Marquez Valdes-Scantling as a value replacement for Tyler and Adam Prentice, their FB.

Teven Jenkins (CHI) and Mekhi Becton (PHI) for G spots.

Also, just to see some .NETers heads explode, I think the Seahawks should look at Cody Barton. Ha!

Eagles just re-signed LB Zack Baun. 3yr/$51M, don't know if it affects EJIV's situation or not.

Probably some.

EJIV's contract value was projected to be just under that (like a 3 Year 15ish thing), so Baun getting not much more after winning a Super Bowl probably helps put a ceiling on what Jones/his agent are thinking he can get.

It is, however, one less viable replacement on the market as well. So there's that.

Thinking the same.
I’m probably naive, but I think trying to shave a few million away from a key defensive leader sends a real negative message to the locker room. Unless the injury is career threatening or has a high likelihood of recurrence I think he gets exactly the same offer.

I would give him the 3yr/ 45 million contract maybe less guaranteed it would all depend on what the team doctors think

The Seahawks would have already known about his injury, so I assume it would have factored into their decision making from the outset.

They are very unlikely to have made offer A and then come back with offer B at few million less. The main benefit from the team's perspective is that an injury concern of any kind influences what other teams might offer that we would then have to match (or not).

I had doubts that any team would think Jones should get a Fred Warner level contract. Zack Baun signing for under that plus the surgery makes that extremely unlikely now.

This should be good F5 material starting tomorrow.

Hopefully they do better than Shaq Mason, not sure if he's even an upgrade over what we got. Houston had IOL issues all season too.
