Yeah, I hadn't made that connection. Carroll did say he'd be working out there a bit but seemed to not think there was a lot of time to get acquainted enough for significant playing time on that side. I hope it's not anything injury related.
That's the way I see it as well. We are going to be really really good, but luck factors into these games sometimes and one narrow loss can change everything. I'm still really optimistic, but also realize how difficult it is to be consistently superior each week.
I think it's really hard to call that when a back lowers his head into the collision. Where is the "strike zone" then? I don't see anything from the league on that.

Jackson had a bad couple of games. He did seem like he was on cruise control, but I feel more confident in him than most any other backup we could have.
I completely agree, although his toe touching grab last night took some courage. If there's a time to be cautious, it's in game 3-4 of preseason when you're confident in your position and want to avoid an early injury. My gut says that we'll see it during the season but to a lesser degree.
