Aros' Fearless Prediction Thread - (Seahawks @ Bears)

We have no business winning this game. We'll win anyway. Our defense is depleted but I am not a fan of Mitchell Trubisky, and if we shut down the Bears' rushing attack and force Trubisky to beat us with his arm, I'm betting he comes up short. Seahawks 24 Bears 20 2018 Record to Date: 1-0

    Luani wearing #24

Mike Tyson switched from #40 last year to #24 this year and wore it all through preseason. No reason to think he would have switched had he made the team. I would rather Luani had picked a different number, but whatever. Looking forward to seeing him play regardless.

    Earl in town

He's pretty full of himself, that's for sure. And for someone bemoaning the modern state of journalism, he sure likes retweeting his columns multiple times a day. Good writer, though.

QB Brett Hundley Traded To Seahawks

Hearing that we traded our 2019 6th round pick to the Packers for Hundley.

    Fant taking Ifedi's job?

I was getting really excited to see Jones play, too. Watching him get rolled up like that in the Colts game was a gut punch.

    Fant taking Ifedi's job?

On the other hand, Fant’s relative inexperience might make the move from left to right tackle easier. I’ve got to think it would be harder to change sides if you’ve been playing LT for years and have years of old habits to break and techniques that now have to be performed backwards. Fant has...

    Fant taking Ifedi's job?

Actually they do: it’s also being reported that Isaiah Battle was back in pads today practicing.

Two images that I think defines a Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson did more with less last season than any quarterback I have ever seen. The 2017 Seahawks would have been a 4-win team at best without Wilson, which is remarkable considering that the team might have finished 12-4 WITH Wilson if they'd had a kicker worth his salt. Give Wilson...

    Earl Thomas desirability poll

Earl lost even more leverage with the news that Cincinnati cut George Iloka, who is nowhere near the player Earl is but will come cheaper and won't cost any draft picks, making him a better option for teams that need a safety but don't want to invest heavily in the position. In fact, it's...

    Trust The Process.

Honestly, I expect this team to stumble out of the gates a bit with the new players, new coaches, and new scheme. September could be a little rough. But if they show steady improvement throughout the year, I will be happy. I want this Seahawks team to be the squad that NOBODY wants to play in...

Earl Thomas to hold out until contract resolved

Boston signed a 1 year deal with the Cardinals worth at most $3 million and likely much less. This was after he called their original offer "insulting." But yes, the safety market is ice cold. Would teams love a player like Earl Thomas? Sure. Would they love him enough to pay him top dollar...

    Season tix arriving this week.......

My vote for worst gift ever was circa 2007 when the "gift" was the box the tickets came in (and I remember the note on the box clearly stating that "this box is your gift") though the car flags were fairly memorable. I never even took mine out of the package. Probably still have it somewhere...

    Season tix arriving this week.......

Everybody always bags on the cards, but that was 2011 (a/k/a the lockout year) and I have a hard time faulting them for skimping on the gift that year when we didn't even know if there would be a season.

Malik McDowell Waived (Plus other moves)

More upset about Elliott being waived, to be honest. Everyone knew McDowell was gone. Elliott really showed some potential before getting hurt last year, though. Was looking forward to seeing him compete for a spot.
