    My favorite part of the Russ stuff is we now know he was at least partly right about Carroll holding the team back but people hate him regardless and can't admit he wasn't wrong. You can hate how he did it but he was right. Macdonald proved in a short time that Carroll was hurting this team.

    How could you not? He had multiple game winning drives down the stretch that year, played well in the playoffs and was solid until it was obvious they didn't need him in the SB. They don't get to the SB without Russ that year.

    I think every unit is at least at the above league average level with no glaring holes. Injuries can obviously skew things but when healthy this roster seems loaded top to bottom. Matt highlighted a couple of rooms that could go from good to questionable with an injury and he's not wrong either.

    I totally understand the hesitancy with Fleury but I really think he is going to do well and it will be a non-issue. I think one aspect that people underestimate is MacDonald's involvement too. He plays an active role in the offense and in his 3rd year is more comfortable doing that. I can't wait.
