Again, Cross has been much better than the 2 Lineman picked before him in that draft at picks 6 and 7 (Cross was 9). You can say he should be a world beater but reality is much different. He has been good and the pick was a good one even if he isn't an all pro yet. He is still just 24 by the way.
Shaduer has no one to blame but himself. Teams are not going to deliberately undermine themselves and pass on someone they believe can succeed at a high level unless they believe they have good reason to.
The question was who were their top rated QB's. Not what were their top QB's they thought would be available to them.
So they most likely had Cam Ward at the top with Jalen Milroe behind him.
They probably had a round three grade on Cam ward sounds like to me.
No one has received more crap for being a back up QB. Not sure why he has gotten so much vitriol especially when he cost us what equalled a 6th round pick and we traded him away in a similar type trade.
I'm glad he is gone so we don't have to trash on him anymore.
Now we can move on to our next...
For an O lineman to come in and not stink is pretty good. I read an article outlining the frequency of O lineman drafted and starting right away and the amount of guys coming in right away and being good was surprisingly low.
