Can someone get JS to explain why it wasn't the Seahawks doing this deal?
Thuney was acquired from the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for a 2026 fourth-round selection from the Bears
IDK if this is any thing to worry about. Seahawks IMO want to figure out what they end up doing with Geno before doing any big contract and this is Metcalf agent giving them a kick in the ass to move along extending Metcalf. They don't need to trade him and should only do it if they get an offer...
The problem with that is that it would result with a very poor record and could cost the GM and coaching staff their jobs. So why would the GM and coaching staff do that?
He's not qualified for the OC job. Not only hasn't called plays but he's only has coached the OL his whole career. His resume:
Would be a great OL coach though.
OL trouble is the norm around the NFL. Pressure on the QB is something good teams do. Not getting a ton of time is not adequate excuse for failing to perform in the NFL. Heck give a QB all day to throw the ball and all of them would look good.
What's the panic about? Geno who 34 next Thursday is under contract next season. To extend him is a risky because he'll be 36 . The only QBs starting at that age is Rodgers,Stafford, Cousins and if you count Dalton that makes 4 out of 32 QBs, so definitely not the norm and will these QBs regress...
I think it means they don't feel a QB they like will fall to 16 and are going to try to trade back. Now could be that a QB they like does fall and can't swing a decent offer to trade down. If that happens, who knows, maybe they do draft a QB.
I watch Viens video's and they are pretty decent, but Vien slow style bugs me at times. Talks slow gets long winded and wordy, just takes to long to spit out what he wants to say. The kind of guy folks generally cut off because they already got what he is trying to say.
I find myself wondering if JS has the answers. Like he got rid of over paid but under preforming players, but he was the one to sign them to those contracts, Also I got to wonder after two years of having 3 first round picks and 4 2nd round picks why do the Seahawks have a piss poor defense and...
Got to have some way to build a roster, you can't have zero OL or zero DL so no matter the yada yada teams are drafting and signing FA's for need. Of course you don't want to pass on a Aaron Donald because you have a decent player at the position and could use a RG or safety but lets quit...
