    Random draft predictions

I predict this thread will age well.

    Pick 35: Nick Emmanwori

I think people would have been happy to get Adams for the #35 pick on a cheap rookie contract for 3+ years. If he gets a big extension or PPE salary bump in year 4 then he earned it. If he flames out then it was a gamble at favourable odds, and not every value bet hits.

    Pick 35: Nick Emmanwori

No fan base loves the safety position more than the Seahawks. No team loves freak athletes more than the Seahawks. He was value at the Draft position and the Seahawks paid the right price for the pick. Sometimes the stars just align.

    Nickname for Grey Zabel?

    Grey-zee.

    Pick 18: Grey Zabel

It feels like buying the brand new car that you wanted...at 110% of the catalog list price.

    Lockett is a Titan

At best he'd be WR4 in Seattle now. It's a shame he didn't sign a deal to stay with the Seahawks but at $13M last year he emptied his 'good will' account. There's an argument to say he'd be better value at $4M + incentives than Kupp will be at $17.5M, but the deals have been done.

Your final prediction: our first pick will be...

    Nick Emmanwori.

    Potential Sam Howell trade?

Schneider would look a bit silly if Howell beat out Lock for the QB2 job and the Seahawks paid Lock $2.25M to go away. With that in mind it makes sense to trade Howell now for whatever the Seahawks can get. Unfortunately everyone else also knows this and Howell didn't have much trade value...

    Playoffs? Pre draft poll.

No. The defense is good enough but the offense is going to struggle. With a good O-Line this would be a below average offense, but right now you have a poor O-Line. Maybe the Draft will change things.

Speculation: Could Sam Howell be traded?

If I could i'd offer you Stetson Bennett and a low pick for Howell.

Speculation: Could Sam Howell be traded?

If Lock was any good he would have gotten a 1-year prove-it deal rather than sign for a 2nd year at what is effectively QB minimum wage. It suggests Lock will struggle to make a Week 1 roster in the NFL. Lock is a low cost competitor/camp-arm. Why pre-empt a camp battle by trading away an...

    Geno: Disrespected?

I've never liked him as a person either. Going into 2022 I didn't believe in him as a starting QB. He has proved that he is good enough to be a starting QB for a contending team. I don't think he's close to being a top 10 QB in the NFL. He isn't being paid as a top 10 veteran QB, (just taking...

    Geno: Disrespected?

The Seahawks offered Smith, (at that point a long-time back-up QB), a 1 year $3.5M deal. He accepted the deal and played so well as to be offered a $27.5M extension + incentives, (which he didn't attain in 2023). I don't blame the Seahawks for Smith accepting that extension or his later...

    Geno: Disrespected?

Smith WAS disrespected by the Seahawks management. He had a very good 2022 and he signed a below market value deal to stay in Seattle. The Seahawks could have been more respectful after a slightly disappointing 2023. Instead of committing to him at $22.5M immediately after the Super Bowl they...

    Sam Darnold, franchise QB!

Darnold may or may not be better than Smith, but this offense needed change. It had become stale.
