The bottom line is, you can't teach what he has. You can teach everything else, but you can't teach someone to be an athletic freak.
Question is, can he learn the other stuff now?
When possibly the best left guard of all time tells you to draft Zabel, you listen. As for the change, I'd imagine it's a combination of the two, JS and MM.
Added Edit:
It's always going to be JS or JS and others. JS has full control now, so it's hard to say "this is all MM" etc.
I'll never understand getting mad during a draft. Every pick we've had I can find pundits who love it and pundits who don't. But so many armchair gm's love to come home after working in the paper mill and get upset about us drafting the wrong player.
I would hope it's a MM draft. Schneider's not coaching the players nor is he creating the schemes. He should be drafting the best players available for the schemes MM and Kubiak create.
Crazy how much ppl coveting the 92nd pick of the draft. Who cares. Why take it so seriously? We're going to see how this pans out and do the same thing next year... and the year after... and the year after...
Give the kid a chance.
Can't you carry a QB now without it affecting your starting 53? I thought that changed last year or something. Makes it more likely we'd carry 3 vs. the earlier years of 2.
Some of the responses to us picking up a backup qb are hilarious. He's a good locker room guy and won us some games when he had to come in. This signaling anything beyond that? Okay swami.
One year I played in a fantasy football league where a girl picked her entire team based off how attracted she was to the players... She won.
Embarrassing, I know.
