So in the game when things are going well for Bryce and he’s jacked and ready to go but the plan says out in the fifth.., in with Castillo, and that’s just what we do then why do we even need a manager. It’s like money ball when the gm told the coach what to do up to the point of trading away players, but it’s different cause Dan isn’t resistant, he’s part of the plan. The manager needs to be the guy who pulls the plug or doesn’t pull the plug just at the right time, not after the fact or when he’s told, at the right time. It can be the difference in every one run game

Oh yeah & of course he should be on the roster as the primary backup C, slide Garver over to the "right-handed bat vs lefties" & send Refsniffles packing. Garver played a little bit of 1B before too, so having 3 catchers could work as long as Garver has positional flexibility, because that's what this front office values more than actual talent & skill. Nothing major like that will happen until the trade deadline though, just like last year with Solano. This is an un-serious franchise & they will continue to prove that unless they make moves prior to the deadline.
