This'll make some here very upset.

Not "very upset" but it was fun rooting for him. While getting very limited snaps, he seemed to come up clutch in some key situations through the year. Can't blame the kid if he wants to go somewhere where he'll get more chances, though, and possibly a decent paycheck.

Makes sense. He didn't play a large enough role to even warrant the right of first refusal tender, while also arguably being done dirty in his contract year. Let him see what other teams offer in unrestricted FA, and if the stars align he could still end up back with the Hawks.
Schneider needs to treat each roster spot and each contract with care. It doesn't matter if he was a fan favorite; it's Schneider's job to try to assemble the best roster.

I think he was valuable on STs, but so are other, more athletic young players. Will miss him if he goes.

I've always thought Andy Reid would love him, and the chiefs have had a lack of receiving talent.

How many plays did Bobo come in and block? I'm asking this out of ignorance, not rhetorically. He's a strong, big-bodied guy, and if his blocking (unselfishly) helped other receivers or RBs gain yardage, then his value includes that (TE) type ability. If he rarely was in blocking, then besides culture, he won't be missed much.

He actually went down this year...kind of surprising since you could argue he was up in the depth chart (at least before Shaheed arrived). in 23/24 he was behind Lockette/Metcalf/JSN, this year he'd be in the mix for #3 receiver behind JSN And Kupp. His snap count was also down for special teams.

I was surprised to see this, I thought he was on the field a lot more. His snap count did go up in the playoffs, for what it's worth.

He was the proclaimed number 1 receiver here by many on .net..this may cause a riot
When he can’t beat Zabel in a foot race, he isn’t going to be anyone’s top wr.

I suspect he'll be back, just not at the price of an RFA tender.
I think you're right. A 1st round RFA tender is about 8M, 2nd round 6M. Hopefully he comes back at a more suitable amount.

To all those making smart comments, who likely barely made it though dodgeball in P.E.
Jake Bobo was a ST demon and blocked his ass off, you know those big plays for big gains?
Not to mention some big catches at crucial times.

Jake broke his hand in the NFC championship game against the Rams, had surgery & a pin put in, never missed practice and played in the SB.

Let me tell you something.
You don't win Super Bowls without a few guys like Jake Bobo.
