Would any of you “mind” if after this season, if Seattle, falls short of the Super Bowl, would you mind if Schneider pursued Joe Burrow???

Burrow, is paid a lot. And he signed and wanted Chase and Higgins and Cinci signed them probably because Burrow vouched for them. And Burrow now says he is not really having fun.

Should Seattle pursue Burrow, if Seattle thinks Darnold isn’t cutting it, at the end of this year?

What say you?

Burrow is great. However, Darnold is doing well and has a better health history in the NFL than Joe Burrow. Darnold is considerably cheaper. Burrow would suck up a lot of the salary cap. I believe it would be very challenging to resign and keep JSN, Spoon, Murphy, etc with Burrow here.

I would not. I watch Cincy (my AFC team if you will) and I hope the Jets offer the farm for him.

As mentioned, the availability isn’t there and I’m far gone from the days of the wanting to have the Hawks pay a superstar QB at the detriment of the rest of the team.

There's not a chance in hell Cincy would trade him. Look how much they battled to keep Hendrickson

Rams, with a starting QB who would be age 38 next season, have two 1sts (one very high) in a year when the draft is, allegedly, not great.

If you don’t think they’re looking at Burrow…

You know I don't want a cap hogging QB with so many contracts
coming up soon.
I also don't want a weak defense like the Bengals, defense wins
championships.
We have a game manager @ QB now, we just need a good RB, don't
tell me Walker is good "Blah".

I fear the Rams might be in on Burrow if available. 2 1sts next year, Stafford will be 39 and possibly retire. He'd likely stay fully healthy behind the Rams line.

This first got floated a couple off seasons ago and it seemed impossible. Now, who knows.

I'd be curious to see what Rams have to give up to get him. Definitely like him overall.

I don't think the Bengals would listen to any sensible trade offer, but for the record:

Burrow's rookie contract was for $5.5M in year 4 and the 5th year option would have been for $29.5M. There was no way Burrow would have played out that contract. Instead the Bengals agreed to replace the $35M/2 year deal with a $310.1M/7 year deal with $146.56M paid during the 1st 3 years. Over the next 4 season he's due to earn $35.25M, $37.25M, $40.5M, and $50.5M. The Bengals are cap liable for all the money they have paid him so far which has not yet been cap accounted for.

Since 2021 Burrow has missed 1 game in 2022, 7 games in 2023, and 9 games so far in 2025. He has started 47 of 64 games over that 4 year period. Stafford has missed 11 games, (1 or 2 were not injury-related), and Murray has missed 23 games.

Joe Burrow can't stay on the field. He's an accident waiting to happen. Cincy would never part with him.

I would take him in a NY second on the Hawks. Effing Joe Burrow on the Hawks? Drooling at the thought.

On his current contract the cap number for Burrow to the Bengals is $48M. If they were to trade him before paying any of the $35.25M he's due to receive in 2026 the final 2026 cap number, (with all accelerated dead money), would be $67M. The Bengals would be able to absorb a $19M increase in their cap calculations if they chose to do so.

I also think the Rams will make a play for Burrow.

As long as Seattle can keep drafting well, Seattle, should always be in contention, but, if the Rams move on from Stafford and onto Burrow, and McVay is still coaching,
man, that would really FN suck for the Seahawks!

Then they would lose one of Adams and Nacua for sure. Can't pay everybody their top value.
