Should have shown a photo of the defense giving up a 10-point lead in the 4th quarter. EQUALLY as much to blame.

Schneider has only been surviving by the ghosts of his pasts drafts. And he’s even extremely lucky for that! JS, is the third place GM in this division, honestly, just as a poster here said! JS, should have been fired also when Jody Allen told Carroll to take a hike! JS has been underperforming for years and years and years! Which is why Seattle has all these offensive line issues, STILL!

No, I don't wanna be the Steelers. That's the point. I think they should have parted ways with Tomlin by now. They are stuck in the middle, very much like we are.
Seattle neighbor:

Those longing eyes, from folks "stuck" in Bellevue, looked at Mercer Island.
The folks from the rest of the I405 corridor, their eyes looked longingly at Bellevue.

You are not an admirer of our much invested ol known affectionately around the league as the Schneider line?

Cross - Haynes - Olu - Bradford - Lucas

All hand picked and drafted by our GM.
Oh he has a problem with the OL. He does fair with the rest.

Well, it’s been about seven years since the last consistently good Seahawks offensive line so better late than never I guess.
I listened to the interview and was struck by how defensive he was. This despite the softest of questions. He knows that if Pete Carroll does well in Vegas his missteps will come to light.
It was particular interesting hear him justify giving a 4th round draft pick for a player who is now a free agent. A short term move by a team that has no chance of making the playoffs and has cap issues.

And if we don't sign him back he will in all probability net us a third round pick. Plus he made our D much better.
To me that's a great move. Also we lost out on playoffs by a tie breaker. We definitely had a chance of making playoffs.
I don't think we would have went far but playoffs were definitely in reach.

Not sure who you are referring to with the 4th rd draft pick. If it's Earnest Jones he isn't not getting resigned unless someone extremely overpays for him and that's likely not happening. Jones will be here next year.

Or they could have kept the pick and signed in free agency!

They had a need at linebacker and he addressed it with a 4th round pick. If we are not able to resign him we get a higher pick back.
I don't see the issue here.
In my humble opinion they did not need to give up the 4th round pick since he will be signing with the highest bidder. They gave away the pick for a few games of play. I really don't see this as along term win. It actually forced Schneider to over pay or look like the fool.

The current collection of interior OL I do like. But there isn't an stud that can be the anchor and that is what JS needs to go obtain.

Bradford, Laumea, Haynes, and Sundell are all fine players especially with the scheme that Kubiak will want to run. They are very young and I am excited to see them with another off season of NFL weight training and development (especially the rookies going into year 2).

Tomlinson was fine as a stop gap but now the team can do better IMO and should go out and draft another interior OL. Let them compete and start the best three on the interior and then you have two competent interior OL as the reserves.

Here’s the bottom line. 4th longest streak to make the NFCCG. All but 4 teams in the conference have made it since we have. That’s not good enough.

Anybody who thinks the Hawks are in a purgatory wasnt a fan in the pre Holmgren 90s. Those were the bad years
90-97 was terrible, Stouffer, McGwire, Mirer, Gellbaugh, Friesz, Etc..

Jones has said he wants to play here. That means we have to pay him but not overpay. Say 12-15 million per year. If someone goes $20 million he will go there but we get a 3rd round pick for him for a 4th

We get to keep him at market value or a hometown discount is option 1. Option 2 is we traded a 4th for a 3rd.

How is that NOT a win?
