Yeah his game changed about 7 years ago, once he got thick and egocentric we declined.
This could be said about Pete as well as Russ. Both made a lot of head scratching decisions and both were too into themselves to see they needed to make changes in order for the team to be the best version of themselves.
I'm glad both were here and I'm glad both are gone.
I'm really enjoying this chapter (wins and losses) of our franchise. All things considered the growing pains have been more painful than I hoped and less painful than I expected.

Meh. The last few years have been disappointing, either missing the playoffs or one and done. We've got something brewing here.
Let's give it another year before we fire everyone again.

The Green Bay disaster says we have playoffs fools gold. They ran the ball at will. Wow.
They did in the 1st half then Macdonald shut it down. If Grubb had any sort of dedication to the run game, Geno probably doesn't get hurt and it's a close game.

Just make the dance this year, I'll be plenty satisfied vs. pre-season expectations.
Agree. If they can make the playoffs, anything can happen. And the season will be well worth it. First year head coach with this group of players and make the playoffs? Incredible.

No doubt about it. It's easy to get impatient, I get it. Just have to remind myself that this is gonna' take time.
Before the season, very little expectations. 3-0, that changed. Then the crap run. Then........4 straight wins, back to expectations. Then........GB game.

Yep, rollercoaster AF.

How is this stat creepy?..

It's more of an obvious stat because that team was past it's prime past the 2017' season.... LOB - Gone, Beastmode - Gone... yeah, that'll keep you out of the playoffs..

The Seahawks have not made the playoffs without Russ or Pete since 2007.

Annnnnnnnnd, discuss.
I'm not sure why you'd include Russell. Since 2007, we've made the playoffs twice without Russell, in 2010 and in 2022. We have not made the playoffs without Pete since 2007 irrespective of who else was on the team.

IMO it's not "creepy" or weird, it simply is representative of the fact that Pete coached this franchise for a long time.

He’s having a pretty damn good year though.

But regardless of how anyone feels about Russ, losing an elite guy is really tough. Look at NE. Green Bay seems to have a good model for it but not many teams have figured it out.
Green Bay has had a model for it for a long time, let the new guy sit. Seems like we are in a spot to follow that model and we should. Geno should be our guy for the next yearish unless he gets supplanted

I would not say Pete was into himself. He knew how to win but still brought in others to try to mold his plan into what was wanted, by Russ. Pete also took every arrow and every blame and zen mastered this team into one of the best and most dominant teams in their era of the nfl. Yeah it fell apart after that one play but that was all people involved’s ego.
