Greatest! The part about renaming the trophy is bullshit tho.

Indeed. It becomes the Carroll Trophy cause it's currently named after a coach. Duh.

This coming season could well be Wilson's big chance to win a super bowl. I don't think Robby3G will be a factor this year but both he and Lucky Luck should be factors in two years. Then there is that kid Johnny Football. In four years he will be chewing up NFL defenses. Then ya have to consider that no offense ever gets un-figured out by defenses for more than a season or two.

Then there is CK in SF. If that dude ever gets serious about the game like RW he could be real good.

Wilson and the Seahawks should be in it for the next ten years but I don't see it as being as easy as the article suggests.

At best maybe 3-4 SB appearances in the next ten starting with this season. Wilson wins them all. If he wins the next two I agree that he will become the highest paid NFL player ever.

I believe they should rename the stadium now since they cannot compensate him with any more money for a couple of years.

I'm insulted on behalf of Wilson. He's not losing any Super Bowl he plays in.

You don't understand, Miami was spotted 50 points. In 2017 Obama declared that the NFL was not fair and gave every team a 50 point head start. He also declared that Wilson had to play one series as the opponents QB.

damn Obama and that socialism, huh? Re-distributing the points now, really?

10% of the points scored by the top scoring offenses are automatically redistributed to the losing teams. In some cases this may change the results of the game, but it's all in the interest of fairness.

Obama won't be president in 2017.

Okay this is going a bit too far. Russell Wilson is good, with a ridiculous amount of upside on top of the hardest work ethic in the league. But I feel like he's being treated like a legend already. Russ has one good season under his belt and anything can happen. He still needs a solid team around him. We will see what happens when some of these rookie contracts start expiring, how many will actually stick around, or how many will go to teams for more cash or to simply be in (or close to) their home town. Even really good teams can unravel in a rather short period of time. You really only have to lose a few good players (especially if they're leaders) and you'll find yourself with huge holes on your roster that prevent you from winning it all.

Sorry to be a Debby Downer here. I just don't want to get too excited. If Russell Wilson (and i'm 99% sure he will) plays better next season than he did this last season. Then i'll believe the multiple Superbowl scenario.

I think we are going to see that by next season, most teams are going to figure out how to contain Russell Wilson. They're definitely not going to let him scramble, run and throw all over them anymore. They're going to make him do one or the other, limit his game. So it's crucial our roster is stacked with talent to help Wilson out, instead of expecting him and Marshawn Lynch to do everything on offense.

Thank God you're here. Before reading your post, I was letting myself get drawn into the madness!

Now that my head is right, I can see how ridiculous is is that Russell loses a Superbowl, so I expect it will be 7 of 8 and after a 2 year hiatus he will realize he never should have left and some back for the another 8 rings, one for each hand and one for each of his children (who will all go on to be HOF Seahawks).

The thing is, you can't contain Russell. If you try to limit his running, he'll throw on you. If you try to shut down his arm, he'll run or scramble for long enough to complete a pass anyway. If you try to both, he will do what he always does. He has too many ways to beat a defense to be stopped. Not to mention he's only going to get better, so he'll always be a step ahead of defenses.

It is foretold that Wilson shall retire his #3 jersey as the youngest player to ever do so. He returns after a 3 year hiatus and dons #16. The caveat is he changes his official name to IB DangeRuss.
Similarly, Robert Griffen 3 has a HOF type career but it would be prematurely halted by a career ending bilateral ACL/MCL/LCL injury. Griffen would somehow remarkably return to the game only to be traded to the Colts where Luck had run out on Indy following his $22 million rookie contract. Confusion would ensue in the Colt's locker room and on the field as there were now two Robert Griffens in Indy (the Qb and the OL). Because of Griffen's substandard play in Indy and because of the name confusion he would then officially change his name to R2G2 in an attempt to avoid blemishing his HOF career further. To the relief of many fans, Griffen finally ends his NFL comeback as R2G2 in 2022 with the white and blue horseshoes.

A 70 year old man wrote that? Sounds like something I would have wrote at 9 years old.

I'd love for things to end up like that though.

Me thinks somebody is a bit slow to detect the light-hearted humor this thread is dripping with. But go ahead and knock yerself out tryin to save everyone from themselves. R U aware this is the off season and there are some bored fans?
