Former Dunbar standout Horace Miller has officially joined the Seattle Seahawks.

He was signed by the Super Bowl champions on Tuesday following a successful rookie minicamp tryout, according to the team.

Miller ran the 40-yard dash in 4.44 seconds at his campus Pro Day workout where he also registered a 37.5-inch vertical leap, a 10-10 broad jump and bench pressed 225 pounds 21 times with a 6.99 three-cone drill.

The 6-foot, 237-pounder was an All-Conference USA honorable-mention selection as a junior when he recorded six sacks and 7.5 tackles for losses and blocked a field goal against Oklahoma and two sacks against Wisconsin. He had 53 tackles last season as a senior.

*He did not play against scrubs. He's seriously mauling guys in the video.

When you have as complete a team as we do, add insane athletes and hope they stick. Not a bad plan.

Mr Miller has a good nose for the football. He has very good closing speed . I think competition just went up a notch.

There are such things as NFL OTA's.......then again, there are Seahawk OTA's that have twice the intensity of all other NFL OTA's. Our guys practice for "keeps"!

Interesting tape. If he was a bit bigger, I'd swear this guy was going to be our LEO: there was a ton of stuff he was doing that Carroll likes to do with the position.

He also played a Spinner role, and he looks pretty good in space. Very interesting prospect. Not sure we have room for him, but very interesting.
