#6 in the new power rankings. Wow, we rose 1 freaking spot. Screw you ESPN. Thank god these dumb power rankings don't even matter. At least Sando gave us some love by ranking us #3, while everyone else didn't dare rank us above #5. They rank the 49ers, Packers, and Patriots above us? We beat ALL of those guys on the field! Disgraceful. EDIT: Also, guess what? Atlanta goes and beats Detroit, moves up 3 spots. Seattle DESTROYS the 9ers, move up 1! You are so smart ESPN!!!! I TOTALLY see the logic here!

ESPN runs an extremely level one sort-by-record-with-some-recency-bias-thrown-in power ranking.
It's of no consequence. This isn't college football, where public opinion actually has an effect.

We beat 3 of the teams above us. You can call SF a "split / Home/Away" - but still - 6?? I can see maybe 4 or 3 - but 6??

It's pretty clear that ESPN has a marketing agenda. Who gives a crap about the Jets and Tim Tebow at this point? Yet it leads in all their coverage. I wouldn't put too much in those rankings. It's just more fuel to the fire for our Hawks.
