We are no longer hamstrung by our offense.
Running game? Not so great this game, but Lynch still ran for 100 yards, so check.
Passing game? Helloo, we kicked ass here! IMO a better performance by Wilson than in the Patriots game! Still can't believe he completed that 3rd and 10 (the one where he threw to Tate on 1st down, who was a yard short, and on 2nd down Marshawn went for -4, and then a false start made it 3rd and 10) where the pocket was extremely small!
Pass defense? We are bad on 3rd downs, but we still kicked ass on 1st and 2nd down. If the culprit is Trufant, then Thurmond should fix the problem. We are still a good defense.
Run Defense? Slightly worried here. Last 3 games haven't been too great. But I'll take it.
If we can put all of these facets of our game together, the Seahawks shall be an elite team. Don't get so down on this team.
The one thing you should take from this game is that we got our QBOTF. I'd way rather have a QBOTF than an elite defense, as elite defenses don't last long. They are hard to keep consistent. But an elite QB, can stay consistent much easier, and make the offense elite with him. Remember last year, where everyone whined about T-Jack? Well we got Russell Wilson now, and no one's complaining!
But seriously a great game by Wilson.

Yup, agree on Wilson. Of course, I thought the "haters" we're unimaginative and lazy to begin with.
He's a keeper. Our defense does the job, that's 3 4qtr comebacks in 8 games...while he's learning. That's Eli, maybe better than Eli, territory. And, Eli is the barometer.

Playing the Lions makes a lot of teams not look hamstrung by their offense.

Stop being content with mediocrity. Everything that's ever had anything to do with Seattle football is awful.

In the second half of the season, if Russell Wilson continues his development along with the O-line, and the defense stays steady, we WILL dominate. But what I'm really excited for is..... Next season. I know, I know, next season. But I expect even more pass rush next season (big trade up for Jarvis Jones anyone?). We will have an easier schedule. I'm thinking almost an undefeated season. Book it. Next season, we will be beasty.

That's the problem with the Wilson haters, they cant parlay his young performances into future successes, in their minds. For some reason, they have no ability to see the game, and not the stats. Of course he could've played better, but all great QB's can play better. But ESPECIALLY great QB's 8 starts into their NFL career.
It's REALLY frustrating, to me anyways.

I absolutely agree with you, though I'm not AS certain we'll dominate this year. And I'd be rather disappointed if we traded up for a defensive player next year. This offense is just SCREAMING for a playmaker to grow with Russell Wilson, open up the passing game, take pressure off Lynch and Rice, etc. I think that we're reaching the point of diminishing returns on defense - you can only improve so much with a single player, and when you're drafting pass rush specialists just to rotate with other pass rush specialists, I question the actual return you'll see on that pick, even if he's a good player. On the other hand, if we land an explosive young receiver, I think it would lead directly to an ENORMOUS improvement in our offense.

Why don't some of these people understand the Lions D is awful. Literally one of the worst secondaries in the league. Even Alex Smith looked good against them. I do think Wilson played well, don't get me wrong. Just can't look at this game as a positive performance.

Not saying what you posted is inaccurate but coming from you, it loses any validity. You're the hack who mistook my odd praise for Schiano as a dig at Harbaugh. Nothing you say has ANY meaning. You are to this board, what leukemia is to children. Please, leave. Saying this is worth getting banned.

It's REALLY frustrating, to me anyways. Wilson played great, too bad his defense S&*$ the bed.

You are to this board, what leukemia is to children. Please, leave. Saying this is worth getting banned. You're probably the same guy that criticizes Harbaugh. If you asked any common NFL fan, they would say Schiano might have had a more rocky start than Harbaugh in terms of integrating to the NFL. My post did not at all suggest you were trying to dig Harbaugh. I was 100% aware that you didn't even think about Harbuagh while you were typing that post. I was just pointing out the fact that you like a coach who, so far, has been very comparable to Harbaugh in regards to wacky behavior and arrogant attitude. Yet, you are the same poster who declares Harbaugh an asshole. Back to my post. Wilson played well enough to win the game. But that doesn't mean people should expect a pattern from this. Wilson isn't the problem. Your lack of talent at the skills positions is.

Actually, you mayo-snorting mouth breather, a lot of this board's 49ers fans and I have agreed on how good Harbaugh is. They’ve come to respect my view on him, you nothing. You're just not as strong a reader as them. And, while we have low standards here, one of them is the ability to read, you hack.
So either; leave, have your fingered-sister sound the posts out for you, trying sucking intelligence out INSTEAD while at rest areas, or spontaneously combust. Any of those should do.
