With the Hawks on the road, any horrible team has a chance, like the 9ers game But seriously I just can't trust the Hawks yet on the road. If Detroit's missing their only consistent star so far though, then I am feeling very confident, as that would take away most of the pass threat, and they didn't really have a run threat, and their defense is not stellar.

The Seahawks lost to the Rams on the road. They have nobody near the level of Calvin Johnson but still managed to beat the Seahawks. This team can lose to anyone on the road, with or without that team's top players.

Even though they lost (it was on the road right?) to the Lions in week 1, they just gave up some late points, they were leading.

I don't see how you can say this, The Lions were in the playoffs last year and have a ton of talent, far more than the Rams, at just about every position other than defensive backfield and maybe RB. The Hawks have been horrific on the road this year, and pretty much ever year......so anyone confident in a win this week is delusional. Can we win? Of course, but it's going to take our offense finally getting their poop together, something they haven't proven they're capable of on the road yet this entire year.

Games outside the NFC West, the Seahawks are 4-0...away games outside the NFC West, Seahawks are 1-0.....doesn't sound so dramatic to me to say that we can win this one. We match up VERY well with the lions, and that's what football is really about who beats who doesn't really matter from one week to the next.

How exactly do we match up well? The Lions biggest flaw is their defensive backfield, and our biggest weakness is passing game. Conversely their biggest strength is defensive line, and we want to run the ball..........err, not good. So yeah if Carroll and Bevell finally take the training wheels off Russell, maybe we can expose the Lions horrible DB's, but I don't see that. Carroll seems to be in love with playing ultra conservative on the road in hopes that we pull out a win the 4th quarter.

Is it bad that I want Johnson to play, so we can see Optimus Prime go wild on his ass?

Carroll seems to be in love with playing ultra conservative on the road in hopes that we pull out a win the 4th quarter. When given an opponent with a weak set of DB's, Wilson has been pretty accurate with the passing game....look at what he did to beat the Patriots. Also, our strength is the running game. We have one of the best in the game at yards after contact in Marshawn Lynch. He will get his yards as long as he gets his carries. Defensively, we are strong in both the run and the passing game, but with their 2nd leading receiver hurt now, that will put even more of an onus on Johnson, and Browner/Sherman match up well against him....see the Bears game for an example of how a 6'2"+ guy can cover Johnson and keep him at bay. Their sub par run offense shouldn't really even be a match for our run defense. The biggest question we have this week is getting good pressure on the qb with Jones unlikely to play.

In it to the end. StL? In it to the end. Car? Phuleeeze. Big W. SF? In it to the end. This team plays to its strength and it's the D. Every ROAD game we have a chance to win. Why would this week be any different? I'm confident in a WIN this weekend BECAUSE of the Defense so thanks for pointing out I'm also delusional.
